Just sounds like exhaust clap. You get that from alot of bigger engines. The exhaust is small enough instead of flowing out it kinda shoots out and makes that clap

That Excursion had over 320,000 miles on it. I'd say that motor is pretty much seen better days. I have the V10 in my 2007 F350 with 176,000 miles on it and it runs like new. Just goes to show how durable the V10's are.

I have a ‘95 Mustang 5.0 in my ‘84 Bronco. Was able to fit an X pipe with some Super 44’s under there. Ran all the way to the rear bumper. Sounds A LOT like a 99-04 Mustang, it just has the raspiness of no cats and a carburetor lol.

I had a cracked manifold on my '02 6.8 v-10 excursion so I went with JBA shorty headers, a high flow y pipe kit amd sct tuner from 5 star, cat delete, all new 3" with a black widow venom 250 muffler. Went from 8 to 11 mpg unfortunately my weld broke in my muffler itself so I am going to a quieter muffler or my wife might not ride in it any more lol. Best thing I could do to that truck. This setup took the cackle sound at redline. Way better sound than muffler delete in my opinion. V-10's are hard to get right. The v-8 is the most forgiving.

When I owned a 1975 Dart a long time ago, I replaced the catalytic converter with a "test pipe". Ran it with regular leaded gas and it still passed emission testing every time. Imagine that

That excursion exhaust isn't gonna "flow" until you do the y pipe correction. Look how it necks down so small into and actual T shape instead of a Y shape.

You should check out the 4.3l v6 from Chevy. Only v6 that abounds good in my opinion. I got a flowfx and a high flow cat. Sounds great and way better than the v6 on here.

They literally sound nothing alike, the 6.8L has a much deeper tone and obviously doesn’t rev as high, while Lamborghinis V10’s are higher strung more high pitch. Like I said don’t kid yourself bro.
