Those backing plates are made from unobtainium. I purchased a pair of new from Hawks for $300, or $220 rusty used. The calipers and rotors are cheap. I think I'll use them as a pattern before installing them. Love your plan! Glad I saw this before my 02 Camaro 9" housing arrives and gets installed.

The Cheepo flair tool has a tough time with offshore brake line being a bit too small to stay put in the clamp. Your new is the way to go.

I assume it is 5x4.75 bolt pattern? If so, what rotors did you use? I am having issues finding a once piece set.
