Speedway well done. Thanks for the tip on how to get the caliper (and bracket) perfectly centered with shims. I also have an air setup but prefer this method. All good points like making sure piston is fully recessed. First time building a 9" floater and this video was great.

Nice video on the weld on bracket. However, I've always used the bolt on kit and probably will stick to it for now. Find it a lot easier, for me at least. Once again, great video and very helpful for those who want to take this route. Cheers

Wehrs machine bolt on brackets are the way to go. IM A FAN OF USING AS MANY BOLT ON MOUNTS/BRACKETS AS U CAN , esp on a racecar.

Correct me if I am wrong, but when this conversion is done we should have two Disk Brake systems on the rear Axel; the regular Rear Disk Brake System AND the new Disk Brake Emergency Rear Brake System. Am I correct? The only problem is; how do you reattach the Emergency Brake Cable to the new Emergency Disk Brake Kit, or even how to adjust the tension on the Cable. You don't show how to do this in this Video which is, sort of, kind of important steps. Otherwise, your Video is excellent. In the future I definitely want to do this conversion on my 2007 Mercury Grand Marquie LS. I haven't decided yet if I want to get the bolt on kit or the weld on kit. I have been wanting to get this done for a long, long time. Right now, the Cable has been disconnected from the regular Rear Disk Brakes AND the Emergency Rear Drum Brakes because when I replaced the regular Rear Disk Pads, the Emergency Brake Drum was totally rotted off the Axel along with the Disk Brake which means I have NO Emergency Brakes and NO regular Rear Disk Brakes which is a combined whole system. The Mechanics which I use tell me; why get it reattached? It's an expensive job and the Axels have to be taken out to do the job, even with the Drum System. I got them figured out as not wanting to do the job, too stupid to do the job, or are actually trying to save me a few bucks which I find hard to believe. I am curious about how much this Kit would be for a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquie LS. Mike Canton, OH

Nice product BUT a added notice ,your bleeders must be at highest point to bleed out air . Cost of kit on your video for this exact kit would be great as well . SPEEDWAY MOTORS stand up supplier for any ride automotive .

Does a disc/drum master operate a disc/disc setup ok? (O3 Ford focus.) The ports going to rear brakes have some sort of big valves coming out of the master cylinder. Do I eliminate those, or retain them?

I hate how the glide pin is set up. The hole where it goes trough will rust up and get full of shit. Now you have no brakes. EVERY OTHER car has a rubber sleeve that holds in the pin with grease.
