Nice! Looks like you did the Explorer intake when you swapped it to the 5.0L... killer!

I'm adding cruise control to my 2000 ford ranger and i got a few of the cruise control parts from a 99 ranger with that same style switch. I didn't see it listed on the recall list. Should I swap it out with the new one?

I would. If it looks like the old one in this video

Hey how much would a lift like that run you? Do they need to be maintained?
@JackofAllMasterofNone29 күн бұрын
3-5 thousand. Very minimal maintenance.

Yep. My neighbor's unattended F-150 burst into flames in his driveway at 4 a.m. The truck was a total loss. Luckily, no one was injured and his house didn't catch fire. This is a result of letting stupid engineers fix things that aren't broken. For decades, cruise controls were generally deactivated by the brake light switch, which was about the size of a Chapstick tube and mounted above the brake pedal. But stupid engineers decided it would be better to (1) use a switch that is prone to leaking and absorbing a flammable liquid, (2) expose it to that liquid, and (3) wire the switch so that it always receives 12 volts -- whether or not the vehicle is in use. What could go wrong? 🙄
