Thanks for the helpful video. I bought a second hand car and there was almost no airflow inside the cabin. I don't think the filter had ever been changed, I'd never seen anything like it. It is now flowing beautifully, but I must say that was a little bugger to get the new filter back in place.

Fun fact; this works on english-right side steering wheel model. On EU,the filter is on the left side- next to throttle pedal which needs to be removed.trus me... I opened the wrong side first,and it is hell to screw it back!!!

After watching that, i would disconnect the battery and remove the green block connector. for an oldish person, that would be a nightmare.

Just done this on my partners car. This video was very helpful thank you. Just so I know for next time (if there is one) on my bracket that holds the fuse board up, on the right hand side I had some wires that were attached to the bracket. Are they cable tied on from behind? It's such an annoyance and really slowed me down.

They were cable tied at the factory but don’t move when undone. Space is so tight there isn’t much choice but to snip them as it is a struggle otherwise

That was really annoying! I was trying to pull the bracket out and couldn't see at first it was attached to that wire. Was going to cut it off on the right hand side but ended up finding you could press the cable tie thing out of the bracket (it's a circular hole with plastic plug through it and cable tie on the back side) and then remove without cutting 👍

Hy mate ! I try to change the air filter at my ford c max 2007 titanium 2.0tdci but is totally diferite down there is a table box there and i cant relase the filter fuck ! Pffff

It is very tight for access and might take a good few wiggles to get the filter out. Good luck

I’ve just done my mk 1 2007 c max, what a nightmare to get the filter in, wires in the way, I’ve pretty much trashed the filter getting it in and bruised my ribs in the process, who designed this car? So anything I’ve done on this car is a pain in the a#s* to access, spark plugs, cabin filter, battery, and a favourite of mine the screen wash bottle inside the front os wing. Ford designers 👎
