i love that you threw in the last moment that you were going to get a high top as well lol. when you are done with this rig, my husband and i think you should win some lifetime achievement award for the most practical over-landing vehicle.

Over the years I've come to believe that Advanced Adapters can make anything fit anything. No matter how odd it may be, it seems like they have an adapter already sitting on the shelf and waiting to be used. Between the 6 speed, and the Atlas Sasquatch should be able to climb cliffs and trees when done!

Sweet. I still want to put a Gen 3 in my 96’ Suburban. The front and rear end is new, rebuilt. I wanted to put one of those monster transmissions in it. Instead my mechanic built mine up just as ballsy, as well as the transfer case. I do want a slight lift. Not sure how much yet, but the next project will be The Beast. My 83’ Ford F-350. I’m wanting it 4wd. And I’m already rebuilding the camper shell. I need it to stop raining, although we’re very thankful for the rain. Still debating whether to put a mini wood stove or a diesel heater. Maybe both. Love the videos. Currently living vicariously through you 😁

I look forward to seeing all these. I am a mechanic of over 50 years and in forced retirement ... and during your intro in this video thought. "I wonder if I can upgrade my Chevy 1990 G20 motorhome" to the Ford and make a real upgrade? :-) At one point I was certified Master by Ford Motor Company ... ... this is going to be fun to watch... pat

6 speed should make a huge difference in drive ability once you get the bugs worked out. It’ll be cool to follow this. Agree 100% about cleaning your vehicle before doing for service. I clean mine before every oil change or whatever it’s getting. As a former mechanic I can say they definitely appreciate it. Good video Cheers

Love both the camping and shop content. Especially how you walk through your reasoning. It DOES make me more sad that I traded my 03 F150 in for a Taco, should've dug more into mods to fix what I thought a newer vehicle would bring.

Jason, if you're planning on a rebuild check into Smeding performance. They can build you a custom 351 stroked to 427 which will give you better torque in itself and if you tell them you want a truck engine instead of a high revving race engine they can build accordingly

If I was to rebuild a Ford 5.8L engine I would put a stroker 393 kit and a good set of Cylinder heads The increase in torque would be beneficial in helping move your heavy van

I had a 2006 E350 with the 6.0 powerstroke and that van at 7500lbs was faster than my 2010 Ram 1500 with a Hemi. I dont think Megans van shoudl be lugging. I pulled a 12000lb trailer with mine once and it barely noticed it was back there. I climbed snoqualmie like a rocket.
@blackrockbrewing51412 жыл бұрын
NOOOO, I like your van because it does not have a high top. They get broken on low hanging branches all the time. I like that you can put heavy things like the wood you cut, or even a small tree if you wanted on your roof rack. I have a van like Megan's with the 7.3 and a heavy duty roof rack and I love it for actually hauling things, or a dozen sheets of plywood.

Not sure if this would’ve been an option for you, but have you thought about looking at some type of underdrive? Might of been an option for you vs going for a 6 speed trans.
@drott1502 жыл бұрын
Would have been so much cooler if you had done a manual shift 5 or 6 speed transmission swap. Also, would have been more efficient in terms of increasing mpgs. Manual shift transmissions are inherently more efficient than automatics, which is why automatics need oil coolers due to their waste heat. And yeah, I know installing the pedal and linkage would have been a hassle, but so is all the stuff you gotta do for that swap.

Why a atlas transfer case over a twin stick np205 transfer case? It's something I struggled with when converting my van to 4x4.
@jackwalsh14682 жыл бұрын
Jason, the esoteric crowd would like to know. Is the replacement transmission a junk yard pick up or has this replacement transmission. Been torn down, thoroughly checked and remanufactured to new specs. Hopefully the latter. It would be a sad moment for the replacement transmission to fail after install. Just sayin Laddy. Now the only thing that would get me excited is to hear that Megan and you were planning to get married. That would make this old fellow very happy indeed. That and I'm being nosy as usual. Cheers, Mate.

Believe in Yeshua, He is the only begotten Son of God who died and rose three days later and loves all of you. He took God's wrath upon Himself, that was the punishment for everyone in sin. He died and rose to give you new life in Him. Born again, a new creation. He died for everyone and wants you with Him, to know Him and live for His glory. By belief in Him alone you can be saved, you receive eternal life and you need to spend time with Him to know Him. Attend a church, read and obey scripture. Be saved, free, forgiven, healed, delivered, baptized, whole and let Him show you how He is everything you need. He alone satisfies. Choose to believe because if you don't choose to believe you are an unbeliever and the unbelievers spend eternity in hell. God's Good and God's faithful 🙏 seek Him to know Him 🙏🕊️🔥💖

Do you think anyone would spend the money you do on a 5.8l van if they were spending money from a job rather than KZbin money? I guess I question the ROI/value if it weren't creating content.
