These videos have been great. You caused me to take my sons 2017 Escape with 52k miles and 1 week left of warranty to the dealership with a misfire in cylinder 2 to get it checked for coolant entry. Sure enough it had this problem. Saved me about $6K. Without this video,I would have just changed the plugs myself and probably got out of warranty.

Seemed a bit excessive on the oil pan rtv😂, I use the brown scotch bright pads to clean and make a light rough surface for siliconed areas.

@@FordBossMe Maybe in your opinion. They are two perfectly machined surfaces therefore you don’t need 10mm bead of RTV. What do think will happen when you bolt it all down🤔 it’s gonna go some where.

That's about triple the amount of sealer than I use.

I use grey silicone on everything that requires silicone. I think it seals better

how often do you replace the flexplate? I know it says inspect but was just wondering how often you find cracks in those flexplates

Doing the short block I have never found one cracked but they have come in on their own cracked

Awesome. I am wondering if there is a serial number on each block and a naming that indicates the revision level of the block different to that in the car papers. I am guessing this Info goes into the car history/Ford System Information related to the car?

I also noted on this block For some reason The Pistons all had 112 stamped on them And so did the block outside never seen that before And it was the updated revision plus the tops of the Pistons actually had a picture that you could take of the URL code

I haven't had one of them in a long time, the last time I really had anything to do with one of them it was a stuck intake runner manifold butterfly It broke off in the vacuum actuator in the back Or like a bad throttle body, really nothing that we find that goes wrong with them
