Ford Explorer ST TurboSmart BOV Install with Sound Clips

For the record, there will not really be a sound difference between the OE Diverter Valve and TS-0223-1296 (Plumb Back) because the Plumb Back also recirculates 100% of the air. If you are wanting a blow off noise then you want part number TS-0223-1096 which is a Dual Port. It recirculates 50% of the air and the other 50% is vented to the atmosphere. The performance benefit of this valve is that it seals better than the OE. This means quicker spool resulting in a small power pickup in the low to mid end power range. It may not be significant but it is still better than what you had with OE.

Do you have to apply right stuff around the 2 orange rings? If so is it just a little around both and how long should you wait before installing? 24hrs to dry?

I know this video was from years ago, but on the BOV thats 50/50, do you have to remove that hose that goes down to the intake and cap it off? Thanks for the video!

No you dont. That just goes to the front of the turbo. Does not do anything bad. That would defeat the 50/50 and would make it 100% bov to atmosphere

The one he put in is a full circ back to intake, the dual port is a different part number, and is 50/50 recirc to atmosphere, thats why there is not sound difference

It is the recirc model. It is a tad louder. But retains factory funtion
