Andy the best way to heat fluid film is on a hot plate on low heat I was a Chevy guy for 35 years but i purchased a 2019 F350 and I will never go back ( from a work truck point of view) way cheaper to own

Every other year I pull my tail lights and door panels, drop the spare, etc. etc. and go hard with the fluid film, coating everything, sticking the hose in all the frame holes, etc. then on the off year I just give a maintenance spray coating. Really makes a huge difference. Frame components on my 18 still look as new as the day it was picked up. Keep up the good work.

The Super Duty is definitely much nicer looking than either the Chevy or Ram HD trucks. By a long shot, and I don't drive a Ford. That one you bought is oh so sharp! I am old school as I still prefer the looks of a std cab and eight foot bed, though it is hard to beat the added room of an extended or full crew cab.

Ford. Chevy. Ram. Who really cares. I’m on my 7th GMC Denali one ton and hate it and spent a ton of extra money on it and a aluminum gooseneck service body. All told they are all junk. I just love watching Andy’s videos and how he can entertain us and be a great father working on a Sunday with some of his kids.

Hey Andy, nice review of the trucks. I have a 2005 GMC Hd gas 6.0L engine. It was my first new truck at 47 years old. I still love it. It only has 55,000 miles so I can’t afford to get rid of it. It only drives a couple hundred mile a year. But I love driving it.

The Olight EDC pens are totally awesome, so easy to write with and the ink doesn't dry out at the tip, I also have a couple of other Olight products as well. The Olight products are a bit on the pricey side, but your paying for top quality products.👍👍👍 The critical thing with FORD's is that the maintaince must be kept up, and it can't be missed or stretched out, more so than any other brand. Good to see the girls in a Vid, as its been awhile.

Love me a regular cab. Try permatech spray in liner. It was the perfect blend of tough but not so hard stuff slides all over like Line X. It almost has a rubbery touch.

I put a fifth wheel hitch in a new f350,when we tightened down the bolts it crushed the bed ribs flat! We had to cut spacers,but it still smushed em! Aluminum is nice,just not as rigid or strong!

Farming Fixing and Fabricating Another option for undercoating is bar and chain oil cut with 20%-ish kerosene. (Also warmed before application is best) It has the creep factor like oil, has the sticky characteristics to hold on. Mustie 1 on KZbin used it. I tried it on my truck and it's lasted 3 years

I used to use fluid film,but switched to NHoil,back to black,clear and Bosswax! SEM inner panel coat works really well also,it creeps and doesnt come off,been in my inner fender areas for over 3 years,it was just a test and so far really good

I’ve bought 2 new Ford super crew Lariat’s since 2015, I love them. I have an older Silverado that’s been an awesome truck. I wanted the aluminum body living in the mountains of Kentucky. Like you we have a lot of salt, plus dirty roads from coal trucks. Limestone mud is harder on truck bodies than salt seems like.

I think one of the best things about your ford other than the 7.3 which from what I hear is the preferred super duty engine is the FX4 package. Having an electronic locking rear diff is a game changer when it comes to off camber low traction situations. I would suggest some KO2 tires as the ones that come standard on new Fords leave a lot to be desired.

The 6.7 diesel out sells the 7.3 gas about 9 to 1. The 7.3 is not the preferred engine.

@@gregjames5070 he might be talking about the gasoline engines only. I believe the Super Duty has a couple of gas engine choices that you can pick when ordering a new truck. 6.7L is a very popular option on the Super Duty truck. I can see why most of them I see are diesels!

I get 14 miles to the US gallon as 16.8 litres per 100km which is how things get measured for cars and pickups here in NZ. Glad I'm not paying the fuel bill, but you have a great fleet there Andy.

I had a Ford Ranger and the thing that bugged me the most about was the damn binging and bonging of alerts if a door was open, keys in ignition, lights on and such like. In the UK we cannot buy an F series truck or such like direct from a dealer. They are a special import. Nice truck and an interesting video.

I have a 2014 3/4 ton GMC work van. It has 196,000 miles on it, the previous owner Fluid Filmed all of the stuff you can see under the van and also sprayed the inside of the doors and the stuff you can't see. I live in salt country, the Maine coast so I don't just get the road salt but the salt in the air from the ocean.

I honestly would put a spray in bedliner on the ford and a rubber mat. I honestly think all 3 brands are good. I'd honestly prefer ram or ford because of payload capacity they have. Chevrolet does do good on fuel I believe. If it was a decision between diesel engines I'd choose the Cummins. Because it is a bit more fuel efficient I believe plus so much more room under the hood to work. I'd take a ford diesel but not too much newer than 2003. Great video.

Check out Corrosion Free. Goes on clear, no removing wheels or fender well liners. When it atomizes, it protects the places you can't directly reach. Inside of frames, bed sides, etc.

You guys should really be wearing a respirator when undercoating vehicles. I’ve seen a lot of people develop breathing issues from that oil residue in their lungs. Once it’s in it can’t get out and then breathing troubles followed.. Be safe so you can live longer. Also spray on the aluminum parts because it will oxidize in time and turn into a white dust.

You knocked out another good video buddy, I'm getting caught up again. I've got a 95 and 97 with the 7.3 diesel and an 11 with the 6.7 diesel that lost some of its exhaust components before I acquired it, it's an XL with crank windows, 4wd on the floor, rubber floor, vinyl seat and no cruise control, the old trucks have power windows and locks and cruise control. Haha crazy to have a newer truck without all that

When I was out looking at trucks I came across a new Ford f 250. It had the 6.2 engine, I'm more of a Chevy person but the only thing I didn't like about the Ford was it didn't have the built in step in the tailgate. I wondered why. I owned a 2008 Chevy Silverado LTZ and it had about 60,000 miles on it and this dealership was only going to give me less than 15,000 bucks so i said goodbye. I ran into the truck i still have it's a Chevy 2500hd with the gas engine mainly cause I don't drive much. It's a 2018 and has barely over 16,000 miles on it. I did have it hooked to an equipment trailer with my tractor and pulled it from Florida to Missouri where we currently live. I have had 3 Ram pickups years before and all 3 had nothing but trouble with. All 3 were gas powered, first one the engine blew up at a gas station and only had 508 miles on it. Then after the dealer decided I should come pick out another one, it had a brake issue and the bolts holding the front end together were loose. The first one had the V 10 engine and it had to have all the gaskets replaced. I traded it in for a 3/4 Chevy Silverado 4x4 that I ordered. I watch another channel on KZbin where he ordered a new Ford truck and it took Ford forever to get it, so in the meantime he bought a new 3500 Chevy with the duramax and then the Ford with the diesel came so now he has 2 trucks. Then he says he will decide which to keep. The Ford has the crew cab and 8 foot bed which wouldn't be my first choice.

My cousin bought a new f250 last year with the 7.3 and has had no issues. Seems like a good truck but I m partial to ford's. I have a 2020 f450 and love it. I glad that you got a very nice truck and hp it does a great job for y'all.

Nice to see you picking up the Ford from Windber Pa. I lived there for 40 years. I bought a new F250 there in 1979. It had the 351 M engine and broke a rocker arm on the second day I had it. Not a fan of Ford to this day. Hope your Ford holds together!

RST is Chveys high-performance engine package and better braking steering and other options Andy you can go to your local auto paint stores and buy the plastic plugs and hole saw so you can drill the rocker panels and cab corners and spray inside of them and plug the holes, Andy I was involved in a bad accident 10 days ago, the vehicle doors locked at about 15 MPH we had a truck pull out in front of us at 60 mph when we stop the door would not open the driver had to unlock the doors, according to GMC they should have unlocked when the airbags came out but did not if the drive had not come to his senses we would not have gotten out. BUY YOUR GIRLS AND FAMILY AUTO GLASS PUNCHES just in case they need it

Great Video Andy. Been a Ford Pickup Man since 1979. Had a few old dodges they all were 3/4 tons and 4WD yes I spent a huge pile of money on Tires & Wheels , lift kits and intakes and headers. The last new one I bought was 2002. put 278k on it. New truck now is a 1991 Ford F-450 4x4 with a utility Box . 460 5 speed . Knew the old guy got that bought it new . They have a bypass to the annoying stop, shut engine off, step on the gas , start engine baloney. It's a small box that plugs between the override switch and the attached cable that was on the switch. It's called the Autostop Eliminator Wire Harness. The other is the Auto Start/Stop Eliminator OBDII There are several KZbin videos about these units.

I've got a 20 super duty, do yourself a favor and get the plastic rear wheel well liners, aftermarket is cheaper. They do a great job of reducing chips and nicks from the tires. Easy to remove to apply the woolwax.

The only thing I don’t care for about the fluid film is the smell but we used the the cans so that could make a difference. Also some good stuff for salt removal if you do t already use it is this stuff called salt away requires zero scrubbing and actually works. Oh and that Auto Start Stop feature imo is dumb but that’s just me
