This video helped me when it came to replacing mine today! My car is a 2011 fiesta TDCI but thankfully the sizings were the same for my car :) Although I must add, the ball joints on your sway bar are worn, mine had a lot more play than these ones but they're not meant to have any excessive play like that :)

They are worn! You should have replaced both, holding a brand new link and trying to move the joint is very hard to swivel around, yours moved too easy. Also another tip to see if they are worn whilst the links are fitted to the car, grab the middle of the link with your thumb & finger only, if they move really freely they are worn, having worn drop links causes an irritating knock/clunk/bang on rough roads or going over ramps.
