I have cried many times thinking about the exit of Fiat from India. I own a grande Punto. Only Fiat owners can feel the pain. Last year I bought an s cross (without selling my grande Punto). I could barely drive it for 1 year. Sold it yesterday. Booked an abarth Punto. This might be the last Fiat car available in indian market. I'm happy that I can have a few more years of joyous driving experience. Thank you Fiat. You will never die in the hearts of thousands of Indians like me. Thanks for giving us wonderful cars. ❤️ Waiting for the arrival of my brilliant black abarth Punto. !! This purchase is my tribute to Fiat. I will never sell both the Puntos. Abarth makes torque greater than mahindra bolero and it has more horse power than honda civic. At a price of 11 L. it has best looks and build quality. India do not deserve FIAT and they are leaving.

Videos such as these must be an eye-opener for everyone who get enticed by folding ORVMs, wireless chargering pad, BIIIIGGG Touch screen displays and then ofcourse the mileage and 'resale value' but not over the things that actually should matter like the ride, handling, cornering, safety and strength. I have a 10 year old White 90Hp Punto and I drive it with my 16" black alloys, projector HID with blackened headlamps, rear smoke tinted tail lights, Black roof wrap and a kickass sound system and it will always make heads turn, one hell of a car and truly built like a gorgeous tank!!!

Friends and relatives called me crazy for having bought a Punto. Just finished the test drive and bought it. I have learned driving on a Willys left hand drive at the age of 18 (I am 48 now). Since then had been driving Ambassador, Old Fiat. I have driven array of German, Japanese, American cars in the Middle East as well. Surprisingly the Fiat Punto is a power packed car and excellent build quality, superb suspension and stability. People who know about cars who value personal and passenger safety and comfort would of course go for cars like Fiat. I have had severe joint and back pain due to long drives on a swift dezire. But after switching to Fiat Punto I have never had such health issues. Roads in kerala are mostly winding roads and the body roll on a dzire was so disturbing whereas in a Fiat you wouldn't get an inch of a tilt at sharp turnes and curves. Amazing car. If I buy another car it will be a Fiat. I am fully satisfied with the service center Hyson Fiat in Ernakulam. They are very professional and prompt.

Rightly said. We should have stricter licensing procedures, but other than that, even if we can afford the running costs, "mileage" will always be a prized factor over safety, driveability, power, overall value etc. ad nauseam.

All the fancy electronic gadget features you get in maruti and hyundai will wear off from your life in a couple of weeks. Just like how you are excited about your new smartphone for a week when you've just bought it. Abarth punto is all about the passion, soul, joy of driving, safety, power, handling, steering, suspension and how every single mechanical bits come together in perfect harmony. The abarth punto is for a driving purist. I took a test drive yesterday and immediately decided to buy it. I don't care about the lack of traction control or parking sensor etc. A person who cannot park a small car without parking sensors shouldn't even be driving in the first place. I don't even care about the less number of service centers. Honestly after owning and riding a sbk for these many years, no small car was even close to impressing me. Tried the polo gt tsi but the stupid dsg doesn't even let me launch without giving a 1 sec delay. Took a test drive of the abarth and just one thing ran in my mind "THEY DON'T MAKE SUCH CARS ANYMORE IN INDIA". I cannot thank fiat enough for their flair.

Nicely said, I agree with most of your views except the part about TCS/ESP. Its one of the only reasons I am holding off on buying a sparely used Abarth Punto at the moment. Just the confidence of having it and driving on slick/gravelly roads is amazing. Brake late into a corner and slam that accelerator on the exit, I would never dream of doing _that_ without ESP. Twice I've lost control without ESP driving too hard (luckily nothing happened because I was focused, otoh if I had a bad day and was unfocused I would've ended up in a ditch for sure). Once in a Celerio (which doesn't have ESP at all) and once in a Superb (which had a faulty wheel speed sensor at the time and ESP/ABS wasn't working). Sadly the Superb is not mine but it has taught me the value of ESP (when it works, its an unreliable POS that drives really well).

@@flow5718 TCS and esp I feel is not necessary. Yes this abarth torque steers like crazy on 1st and 2nd but that's totally fun. I have been riding superbikes without them that can do a 0-100 in 3secs, so I'll definitely feel even a 400hp car doesn't need TCS and esp. Different people might have different requirements. I for myself don't feel the need to have some computers watch the way I drive.

Right since the time u guys released the preview of this video coming up, I had been waiting for this. What a video it was. The dialogues, the action, the driving, the locations everything picture perfect. The entry of Abarth reminded me of the Polo GT TDI entry in your earlier video of GT TSI vs TDI. But the best part of the video was, the honest and sad bit that u told at the end. Nobody really is winning. We are all losing. Its sad to hear the abarth punto production has stopped. Pains me to see we Indian enthusiasts fail to notice such awesome cars. I myself have been thinking to buy tigor, but after seeing this video, u made me reconsider. Hats off to you guys, Ten hut and Glenn, u r totally awesome. No words to describe the way you review cars. Powerdrift rocks. And to answer the question, I think the car that is good is still The Polo GT TSI. The abarth launched after the polo, but only manages to edge past the latter by a whisker. Couldn't be any more apt. The videos are getting better and better in quality guys, awesome and Amazing work! About the car scene, Indian buyers have stopped pursuing 'driving pleasure' as a genre while buying a car. I agree all the comforts of the body are necessary, but the petrolheads need the comfort of the mind which the driving pleasure provides. Most people are buying 'point A to B' machines with the longest list of features in the brochure. 'Cars with a character' is all we petrolheads want. A car that is unique to its own identity and that uniqueness is expressed in nothing but the driving. Not how many screens or sensors it has listed in the brochure. How the Punto Abarth dared to do. We need better motoring to take the Indian domestic car scene to the next level. Better motoring starts with what car you buy and how you make it truly your own. Tune it, modify it. Make it better. Better and pothole-free roads to not break the mods you made. and lastly but surely, Better driving sense with high regard to traffic rules and discipline in driving. Follow your lanes, respect pedestrians(also be a responsible pedestrian), keep enthusiastic driving to the open highways. We need more local tracks in India to uplift the motorsport scene and make better drivers of ourselves and practice driving techniques. Keep it Revving guys! Drive fast, drive safe! B)

Good - FORD FIGO Audio - 10/10 A/C - 10/10 Interiors 10/10 Design 10/10 Refinement 10/10 Steering/wheels/road grip ------ Brilliant Comfort - OMG God. I swear I haven't found anything better. I love everything about it. A lot of thoughts have been put behind the making of this car. This car is PRICELESS. I own it. I know how good butt feels even after 350+KMS of nonstop drive. No cabin sound what so ever. Terrific braking. Tires give enough grip. I have been driving this baby right from the moment I got my license. I learnt everything on this car and hell yeh. Its very easy to drive car. I Love Ford Figo. No engine sound. Beautiful design. Every single time I see it. I fall in love with eat. My family loves it. My kids r growing up with this big toy. I have done 160 kmph. With ease. Seats r very very very very good. Enough thigh support n comfort. More comfy than a couch . I swear. Its been 2 years I still feel the same affection for it. U will not regret. Go for it.

Hi. I own a punto abarth (2017) model and believe it is the best hot hatch you can buy. The new abarth comes with touchscreen which overcomes the calculator feeling of music system desribed in video. Upgradation of tyres is a must as the stock 195 barely keep up with power delivery. You will get accustomed to the unique driving position in abarth within a week and after that it's just a big smile left to show whenever the accelerator is pressed. It beats other hot hatches any day any time. I request people interested in hot hatches to please abarth strongly. It's a blessing for us petrolheads.

Love the Punto... Though i personally own a Figo Diesel.. Never ever felt the need to change it.. 3.5lakh kms done and its looks it will go another 5.. The stability and the engine feel is still new!!! Cant imagine replacing it♥️Those four wheels and the engine within moves souls not just places♥️Ford Figo♥️

True that! People are just buying any shit that Maruti's throwing in. I have the old generation Figo bought in March '15. It cannot match Marutis in terms of mileage, but, who cares? It's built like a tank. And most importantly, it's way too much fun to drive. Rock solid even at 130/140 kph and has got excellent brakes. It drives best in hill sections thanks to it's dynamics and the hydraulic steering. Worth spending money on!

Booked a Fiat punto ABARTH today. Their promise is that delivery will be made in one month time. I don't mind even if it take 2 or 3 months. Because I already have a Fiat punto multijet in my garage , which is in fact my second punto which has completed 40,000 kms (First punto sold after 1.5L kms). Moreover, mileage is no more an issue, because the difference in the price of diesel and petrol is around Rs. 6. And thank you powerdrift for this awesome review. Let this be an eye opener for many who prefer freebies and bottle holders over safety and handling.

No, they have not mentioned a specific date. OTR is Rs. 11.12 Lakhs. Even I didn't test drive the car, they don't have one. Since Abarth is gonna be my 3rd punto , I have no doubt its capacity on any front.

Zia Fahad K.S Wow a 3rd Punto! One thing i have learnt is that Fiat followers swear by the brand and don't easily touch anything other than a Fiat! I am dying to get an Abarth Punto but my Hyundai Eon has just done 22000 kms in the last 6 years so i am thinking if i have the time to drive it! I am 6'2 and the Eon is a really small car so i think might just buy it really soon! 😀 Happy miles with your future car!

unfortunately Indian car market is not about power, torque and acceleration cars but about fuel-efficient, spacious cars and recently more about gimmick stuff such as sub-par touch screens, sunroofs etc. I think outlook of the world economy will suggest such trends worldwide, where people want value for money efficient cars. and with the introduction of stricter pollution norms, I think performance car market will never be an Indian thing. But regardless I am always so amazed by the hard work you guys put in, to bring in such high-quality content. The best Indian automotive youtube channel or perhaps the best Indian youtube channel. Figo-s Diesel produces 100bhp power and 215Nm torque, and petrol version produces 88bhp and 112Nm power and torque respectively. I doubt that qualifies as performance car or so-called HOT HATCH. Arbath punto is a different beast altogether.

here is the best sales pitch that I applied to myself when deciding whether to buy palio 1.6 sports in 2006 when all my friends were screaming not to buy it..... I thought that I have to live with any car I buy for minimum 3-5 years.... and that life I am never going to get back.! needless to say nobody could budge me from my decision and what a good decision it was.! I spent another 63k on awesome music system - Alpine with kappa series speakers (same as premium BMWs.!)... palio had same ac performance as that of premium car as well as same suspension.! and safe safe feeling.... and it looked far better than BMW 3 series.! or c class Merc.! what more you could ask? and it sounds far better than aluminium engines.! and it still burns zero oil with one year change interval.! my BMW burned far more.!! 12 years and it is still the best.! yes, I wanted to buy abs then but it was not available.

Nice video dear. Abarth punto can only be directly compared to polo GT because of unmatched performance at all rev range. Its very stable on high speed too. Fiat is doing poor on branding and advertisements but its cars are supreme in terms of performance and build quality. Servicing can be a problem due to unavailability of parts locally and service centers are very less but 99rpm helps to buy genuine Fiat parts. Ford on the other hand provided standard features and its service network has nurtured over last couple of years. Those who know car's internals never look at fancy features but pay attention to dynamics and engine superiority & Fiat is the manufacturer who is at par. I drove abarth since my friend have it and trust me its worth. I own Liva and its realiability can not be compared even with Honda and my next car will be either VW GT or Fiat Abarth.
