Thanks for your time making the video, I wasn’t sure if I had to take the crank pulley off or not so this helped a lot 👍🏻

Cheers! glad it helped. Why I made the video because I couldn’t find the info anywhere.

I have a 1.6 tivct petrol from 2006 and the sensor can't be found here..I'm looking for it and without reliable documentation, it's not easy

Have u a video about the bad start at the time an habe u blue smoke?

D. Baba sorry I don’t have any more video of this... I get some black smoke when I accelerate hard but my piston rings are likely worn at 160k miles

I wish you'd shown putting the sensor back in place, as I just cannot get it to go in. There just doesn't seem to be sufficient room between the cambelt cover and the block, though of course there must be, as it came out in the first place (though even that was pretty fiddly).
@RobsRepairs3 жыл бұрын
Yeah sorry it was a fiddly two handed process. It is difficult to get back in place but keep trying and eventually it slots into place.

Worth double checking that your original part and replacement part are identical in shape.
@SuperVM3 жыл бұрын
@@RobsRepairs Indeed, it is identical. The car I'm working on is a Mini though, so I've got far less room to get any force on the sensor as I try to fit it in place.
@SuperVM3 жыл бұрын
What I did in the end was create a radius on the front bottom edge of the sensor. After that it went straight in first time.

@@SuperVM excellent. Did it solve your problem? My car has been fine for months now since...

Do not trust this video, to remove and install the senso it is required to remove the plastic carter! So you have to remove the service belt, the pulley etc… 2+ hours of work.

I just replaced mine today without removing the plastic cover, aux belt, or crank pulley. I just did it like he did in this video. Very easy. On a Ford Focus mk2 1.6tdci you only have to remove the front right wheel and nothing else. The sensor comes out after you remove the 10mm bolt, and the new one goes in also without taking anything else off.

car gone to scrapyard now, as turbo died :( oh well.
@markcoe693 жыл бұрын
So common on DV6 ☹️ Most of the time it’s due to lack of oil changes or nasty/wrong oil used which blocks the gauze filter in the turbo oil supply pipe and starves the turbo of oil.
