What’s with the standard braking? I’m having a hard time finding some good braking for the st

Pumaspeed do a nice 6 pot kit with floating discs and track spec pads for a little under 1k. Just fitted a set on my mates, very good.

I since use mk1 focus rs brembo calipers, and standard mtec discs (320mm)

Did you think upgraded brake discs and pads will be fine with standard callipers for the track?

Late reply, but did a track day at Combe in my Mini which had upgraded EBC slotted discs and Ferodo ds2500 pads with standard calipers and it was fine on track.

I didn't spot this sorry At the time of this recording, it was mate discs and ebc ultimax pads It worked okay was starting to get them a bit hot by the last few laps I now use the same discs but with focus rs mk1, brembo calipers

The pads are shot and faded after 4 laps, the last pads I had literally melted, drove home metal on metal

It doesn't seem to have torque power my st will spin the wheels in third with a stage two map and 350bhp

It has 360lbs Wheel spin is a sign of not only higher torque, but driver behaviour

@@cupra2Jock. RS has a few little bits compared to a facelift st225 though? Spoiler diffuser and a bit wider if I'm not wrong?
