A shop wanted $180 for parts and labor. I paid $35 for some great pads from Autozone and did the job in about 45 minutes. Thanks for your tips, as they made the job a lot simpler and safer. 👍

Did this yesterday doing the rear brakes for my daughters Fusion. I was able to compress the rear caliper piston with a "C" clamp. Make sure to 1) remove the brake fluid reservoir cap, 2) watch and remove (if needed) brake fluid while compressing the piston 3) place a large rag under the reservoir because it will spill down on the engine (happened to me). Don't forget to reverse the process to take the car out of brake service mode...

I did my two 1st brake jobs w/o doing this never had a light. This time 3rd time after doing my rear brakes, lights came up. Brake function both parking and regular was good. So doing the in out of service mode it reset the parking brake and no more lights. If any issues later come up will edit but so far it's fixed np. In and out of service mode is also a hard reset just keep that in mind.

Do you need to do this when your replacing the parking brake button it'sself my e-brake button has alot of wear and tear on it and I want to replace it

Do you have to leave the key turned on the entire time? Or does it remain in maintenance mode even if you turn the key back off?

What does it mean when it on reading "Parking Break Malfunction service immediately: does that mean it's out and am I still able to drive the vehicle?

Hello I need your help I had found a mobile mechanic service to come change my rotors and back brakes apparently the guy didn't know he had to put my car in service mode I don't know what the hell he did but he did something where my abs light and brake light stays on throughout my entire time i am driving and theirs a chime that won't stop until I'm done driving and it drives me crazy . The emergency brake has released all the way otherwise I wouldn't be able to move anywhere . I need your help please 🙏

Dang Im sorry. I would recommend going to the dealer and having them double check the work and reset the computer module. Theres not much I can help with cause I dont know if the work was performed correctly and its just a computer issue or if there is a serious malfunction and the computer is trying to tell you that.

So will a bad 12V battery. It happened to me. I was like, why does the car feel so heavy all of a sudden. Then the Wrench light on the dash came on.
