Step-by-step tutorial video on refilling / recharging ac air conditioner using a/c recharge kit on Ford Fusion sedan. This is a very simple procedure and can be done within minutes once you learn how to do it.
Like mentioned above you will need to buy ac a/c recharge kit which comes with a/c recharge hose, gauge and usually two a/c refrigerant cans. Hose can be reused as many times as you wish so for each new recharge you will need only ac refrigerant cans. You can buy this kits at any car part store or online. It is always recommended to have air conditioner recharged by professional shop as they have the equipment which can evacuate the system and connect to both low pressure and high pressure ports.
You will start by connecting a/c refrigerant can to one side of the hose and you will connect other side of the hose to the low pressure a/c charging port. Then screw the knob on top of the can all the way in to pierce the can. Start the vehicle and slowly start releasing the knob. This will charge the system. Make sure to keep monitoring the gauge on the a/c recharge hose. You don't want to overfill the system as that might damage the a/c compressor. Once done you can disconnect everything and the a/c should be working.
In case there is a leak in the a/c system or the a/c compressor is not working you will have to take the vehicle to the mechanical drop for proper diagnostics.
Thanks for watching.
