I'm going to set up my test run the same way but submerge the exhaust hose in the water to cut down the noise. Good idea though.

Dumb question, how do you regulate the water temperature in the motor with a constant supply of cold lake water, lets say?

I hope you broke that cam in because running at idle doesn’t do it. Maybe it’s a roller cam though.

It says in the title that it's a 270hr cam. The "hr" stands for hydraulic roller.

Are these engines "reverse running"? I want to put one in a project and people keep telling me they run in reverse.

some are some arent. boats with 2 motors, one will run in reverse. so if you want to put a boat motor in a car make sure you got the proper spinning motor or buy a motor from a single motor boat.
