The peak of the Maverick Gt's performance in Brazil was the GT Quadrijet option, with quadruple Holley carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and sports valve timing 270 degrees from the Iskynderian brand. The heads received solid tappets, dual valve springs and thinner gaskets, increasing the ratio to 8.1:1. Power jumped to 257 hp SAE (real net power) and torque rose from 39.5 to 41.6 mkgf. It was produced in limited numbers (some say around 300 units produced by Ford in Brazil) and reached acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 205 km/h. Currently the Gt Quadrijet model is highly coveted by collectors in Brazil.
