Being that this is the exact build truck I wanted, I'd say yes it's worth it if I could actually get one. Only disappointment is no ventilated seats along with the Lux package. I have these in my current truck and they are just as good in the summer as the heated seats are in the winter.

I saw one at the dealership and was not impressed. They wanted $35,000 for this micro mini truck! It was parked next to the f150 and you definitely see the size difference. I wouldn't pay more than $27,000 for this mini truck. And that's only because of inflation. Even the steering wheel looks small.

@@tonecapone8840 Well I've owned my Maverick Lariat for a little over a year now and I really love it. I don't miss my full size truck at all. The Maverick hauls my dirt bikes and riding gear with room to spare while getting great gas mileage. Also, I only paid a little over 28k for mine. I don't know of any other truck that does all of this so well for anywhere near this price. It's nearly perfect in my opinion.

The Daytime running Lamps are a known Safety Feature and should be a must on all trims, but hey $4400 over a 5 year note is not that big of a deal, and you'll get it back when you sell it. You are finally the first guy to show the Lariat headrests. TY

The thing is they're a safety feature until an oblivious dimwit who thinks they're the headlights and will solely rely on them as headlights and only drive with those at night with no other illuminated lights at all! Then it becomes a safety hazard.

I ordered an XLT eco boost with the lux package, but then came across an eco boost lariat with the lux package on a dealer's lot. To me it was worth the upgrade, rather than wait (many) months for my XLT to arrive and I like the interior of the lariat more than the XLT's.

I built my Lariat with everything except the 4K package. & sunroof 35 k I couldn’t be happier. Also I live in California Bay Area. Went on a 100 mile drive . Averaged 32.8 MPG on cruise control at 73 mph 👍🏽

It may be a pricey package but it's well worth it. The fact that I can still get a fully-loaded pickup that's just $3,000 more than my Tacoma is a steal IMO. Plus, with niceties such as the heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, those are must-haves for my eventual move up north so it's worth every penny. Plus, it's nice not to have compromises anymore. I can finally get everything at a reasonable price (that is if the dealer doesn't mark it up, then it's an issue.)

My thoughts exactly! Everyone I’ve talked to about ordering this truck has shot my goal of buying one down. Saying that I could buy a full size truck for the same price or a used truck/midsize, etc. However, that truck would be dated, old, high mileage, or just a entry to mid trim level. You hit the nail on the head when you said “no compromises” The Maverick truly embodies the spirit of less is more IMO.

My wife and I just traded her 2019 Lincoln MKC Reserve in for a 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid First Edition Area 51 paint and the saddle brown interior (same color interior as the one you're reviewing), it has the 1st edition package and luxury package so has all the toys putting the MSRP at 35k which is approaching the cost of her MKC when new. Been averaging 43mpg over 2 tanks and she LOVES this truck, plus you don't see them everywhere. We'll see how she feels after a few years but so far so good.

I got the Lariat Hybrid Lux and love it. The only thing I added on my order was the moon/sun roof. Added the tri fold hard bed cover which gets installed tomorrow

I just got my maverick lariat hybrid with the lariat lux package. Took 15 months to arrive. Since I live in AZ, the heated seats are of little value, and Ford should add ventilated seats as an option.

Ford should let you choose what you want. If you want an XLT with added leather seats, then let people CHOOSE IT. If you want the base XL and add the option of heated seats and mirrors, then let people CHOOSE IT. This is the problem with today's manufacturers; not enough customization. Everything has to be a "package". It really defeats the purpose of having a build list on a website if you can't actually build what you want.

Simplifying the build process is the only way to streamline production of a mass market budget vehicle like this. To fully customize each order would bring manufacturing to a crawl and costs to skyrocket. You want full customization, you go premium or boutique, and you pay out the rear for it. You don't go to McDonald's to customize each topping of a Big Mac, you get what they give.

Back in 2011 I bought Ranger XLT extended cab 2.3L for low 20’s, fast forward I ordered a fully loaded 22 Lariat fully loaded for low 30’s.

Lariat comes with enough toys, the extra 4400 would be wasted in my opinion. You get the nice seats, LEDs, CarPlay, and enough goodies and still keep it under 30. That’s my goal!

Comparing this to the XLT Lux without it, it certainly does make a difference. Is that alone worth the price of admission to go Lariat? No. However, it does help justify the package a bit.

That is not the case, the Lariat in this video is a Hybrid which has a tow rating of 2,000

The Lariat with Lux package would be nice, but I can’t justify spending over 30k on the maverick. Why? Well, considering the lariat with luxury package on the configurator is 37k with destination. That is with 2.0l and AWD. And that is with the optional sun roof. Because if you are going in, go in all the way. And no first edition package. Now for me that is a no go. I Got my used 2018 f-150 XLT crew cab with the 3.5l with 15k miles back in 2019 for 31k.. coming from that I can’t spend more than that for less truck. I know the market has changed in these 3 years and there is no way you can get the same deal today, But the maverick to me represents affordable capability. I would go with the XLT, with max tow, 2.0 AWD, FX4, sunroof, sliding rear window, maverick floor mats, bed mat, remote start dealer installed, 400w outlet, full size spare options, all for 30,600 with destination!Now that appeals to me. A brand new, AWD capable vehicle, that is relatively simple. And pulse I love the interior color of the XLT. And let’s not forget about Taxes my brothers! For my optioned maverick at a 8.25% tax rate for my location, I get taxed 2,500 dollars. Now if you go for that 37k maverick that is over 3k in taxes. In the end it’s a 40k bill vs a 33k note i don’t see the value in that, personally. Just my thoughts. If I had a lot of money that won’t hurt to let go, then of course I’ll get the top of the line options! Who wouldn’t. But that is not the point of the maverick, it’s meant to be affordable and capable. :)

I got an XLT Luxury package. I do want a few things off of the Lariat such as keyless entry, push to start, adaptive cruise, the LED accented headlights and taillights, etc, but I can’t stand the design of the interior of the Lariat. I hate the copper bronze and the faux leather seats. I love the fun of the gray/orange in the XLT. That was basically the only thing that deterred me from going Lariat. I wish Ford gave you the option of different interior colors for each trim.

The Maverick's value proposition greatly degrades with the added cost of the Lux Pckg (+ mandatory Ford Co-Pilot 360). At that price point, the Hyundai Santa Cruz because a better choice, imo.

When you spend 30+ thousand on a vehicle that is coined to be the luxury example, in today's market a damped tail gate is a main stay. While in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter, it is an annoyance when it is a $50 accessory
