Ford Mondeo mk4 OIL CHANGE and SERVICE INTERVAL RESET (2010, 2.2 TDCi)

Just a short guide showing how to change the oil on your Ford Mondeo mk4, TDCi engine. It´s a pretty easy and strait forward job. All the tool sizes in the video.
Mainly:
- 10 mm socket - splash shield
- 21 mm socket - sump plug
- 27 mm socket - oil filter
This guide works for me. But I´m not a professional, so no guarantee here...

You made getting that oil filter out and back so easy, it took ages to get back in and tight enough not to leak lol

@@DIYProjectX Yeh cheers managed to get it done in the end. Kept feeling it was tight enough but when I ran the car it would start leaking I was shocked how tight I had to screw it on thought I was going to break it.

Very useful. Did the oil change but am about to tackle the filter. I see the hex nut on the filter housing has a sort of catch thing on it (hard to see it properly.... any guesses as to what it is?

I can only guess it is there to stick to a socket when you unscrewed the housing and trying to pull it all up. But you don't need to worry about it.

What is the torq-spec for the sump bolt?

I think it´s 25Nm. I do 30.

Today i bought this car. I made an oil change like you. I filled 5.5 liter engine oil and started the car. After checked the oil level and it was very high. i drained 0.5 liter but is still high. I dont understand it.

Do you know how much of the old oil came out? It looks like there was some old oil left in the car. Are you measuring on level surface?

@@DIYProjectX no i did not measured how much came out. The engine and the oil.was warm and i waited almost half an hour to came out. The oil dipstick seems original. Interesting that in citroen c5 with the same engine needs only 5 literes.

@@szelestimur8315 Strange. Check the oil with the car sitting level (not on ramps). Checking the dip stick itself was my next suggestion.

Probably very similar. The filter location may be different, otherwise not much else in it.

@@DIYProjectX trzeba zalać filtr paliwem do pełna aż się wylewa. Ostatnio znalazłem nie dół pełna i się zapowietrzył i był problem z odpaleniem

@@czyzyk1284 yes, I know. It worked this way on other cars. But here, I had to loosen the rail nuts going to the injectors and suck out the fuel using pump. Normally, the system is primed using a diagnostic tool, which I don't have.
