Hi, I wonder if you could help. I have cab fitted and wired all central locking etc, but can’t locate cable under driver side for back window heater. Any ideas?
@captainotto10 ай бұрын
For anyone coming across this, note that if you intend to have the locking tailgate mod as well, that you will use both the U+ and L+ for the tailgate mod. I suggest you plan to do both of these together to save yourself a bit of pain having to resplice and instead only do it once for both.
@oscarthefuzz8 ай бұрын
Will be doing the tailgate soon but from what I've researched it seems a much easier option to go to the fuelcap wires and piggy back there....
@captainotto8 ай бұрын
@@oscarthefuzz I hadn't come across that option when I did mine, but I suppose it should work, provided you can access the harness and wires away from the fuel cap. I wouldn't want to splice and solder near those rubber hoses or the fuel tank.
@oscarthefuzz8 ай бұрын
@@captainotto they make a kit that is a piggy back plug and play option, seems to be only available in Oz but I'll prob have to DIY it here....

Great video mate but just one question: 2:22 - Is it possible that changing the jumper setting alters whether the mirrors close on one or two locks of the key fob? 7:10 - This shows it's currently configured to fold in on one lock press. The reason I ask is because I noticed my brother's Pajero has fold-in mirrors and you have to lock it a second time to fold the mirrors in (I'm guessing so it allows you to choose whether you want them folded in or not).

@@MrMagsimus it may or may not be of help but..... Many models in manufacturers ranges share components, obviously saves them money. So like on Ford, Ranger shares a lot from the Everest. Why do I mention this? Well, the Ford Focus 2010 model, had some models ( Titanium) that had powered mirrors, these could be fitted retrospectively to any other lesser trim Focus, and even the Kuga, and the Mondeo. So what I'm saying is... you might find that other models may have a powered mirror in the same casing as yours. Might be worth investigating. Then it's just a case of fitting those and getting a universal version of the module discussed in this video.
