I’m really excited, some nervousness though too it’ll be the test to see if I did everything right 😂 after the motor fires it is just a couple brake lines and new rear end and it’s ready

I didn’t see any rosette welds on your tie rod or drag link. That’s just laziness from who ever you had weld it.

I’ve seen people do one or the other, these particular weld in bungs where they actually inserted in the tubes did not really have much mass to them at all in that area, I’m sure it would have helped some, but not to the degree it would have if they were thicker, these were from ruff stuff, I’ve seen people run hydro assist on this setup so not to worried honestly, there’s far more stuff I’m concerned about working on this build than that 🤣

Michigan, the 8.8 rears are fairly cheap for these trucks at the pic n pulls you may even have an 8.8 in it now since it’s extended cab

@@shadytreekustomz6268 Absolutely! I am not doing the 302 like you but I might. I just want to be ablee to lift it eight inches and put some decent tires on it.I am putting a flat steel bed and mounting my welding rig and a crane to the back.

@@jimmypopp2695 A lot of people do Dana 30 swaps on these trucks, but they definitely have there limits, the 98+ rangers are a lot harder to put a solid axle in than the pre 98 ones, mines a 96, the newer rangers didn’t have a gearbox like the older rangers, you need a gearbox to steer solid axles instead of rack and pinion, most people use leaf springs on those versions, mounting a gearbox is the hardest part I will say, the rest shouldn’t be terrible. The 302 swap I’m doing on this is way harder than the sas imo
