It's surprising how fast both of these cars actually are. Just think about it, a stock Torana GTR XU1 did a quarter mile in about 16 seconds and a stock Falcon GTHO Phase 3 did it in about 14.5 seconds. I know both were manuals but really, how fast do you need these utes to be.

The V6 makes 100nm more torque and starts lower in the Rev Range so it will tow better and the engine will be less stressed
@tofiking39442 жыл бұрын
@@deanrwilson I'm not so sure about that. There were towing tests done between the 3.2 litre and the 2 litre and surprisingly the 2 litre did the same circuit faster, maintained up-hill speed better and used less fuel.

@@tofiking3944 that was a great test . And thats because the 3.2 L was only pumping out 470nm with a 6sp and the 2.2 bi turbo was 500nm with a 10sp in that test. I didn't expect the 3.2 to perform as slow as it did.

It sounds like a lot of people waiting for this car will be devastated to find out it's nowhere as quick as the current V6 Amarok. By all means do the test but the stats show the Amarok TDI580 at 0-100 in 7.3 Seconds. It's worth noting though that the TDI580 uses overboost to pump peak power to 200KW but can only do this for 10 seconds. So in reality it's not 200KW in the purist form but for overtaking and 0-100 sprints comes in handy. The current Amarok V6 is a highly under rated car. On road it drives so much better than anything else on the market today and we spend most of out time on road.
