PLEASE GET A LAWYER! I'm sure with a lawyer, by this time Ford would have either replaced the entire AC system OR bought the truck back OR replaced your truck. You're going to get screwed over and over again unless you sue. Ford owes you and don't give up!

The problem with this is and I have encountered this not with Ford but with other big corporations. They have tons of resources, and in the end, it cost me more than it was worth . A lawyer cost around 250 to 300 bucks an hour so if it is a 3 to 4 thousand dollar fix it's sometimes easier to eat the cost and fix problem yourself, we as consumers have zero rights anymore and these big businesses will drag this out for years and in the end unless your lawyer is doing this for free until it's settled it will cost again upwards of 250000 dollars total legal fees for a 4000 compressor not worth it in my opinion and also some people don't have that kind of money also in Arizona you are responsible for paying for your court costs and even if you win they don't have to pay your legal fees.

I had a total knee replacement and so happy that I did it. My recovery was fast with very little pain, but I had the best Doctor in our town. I have to have the other knee replaced, but the Doctor won't do it until I lose a bunch of weight. I don't know if you were told, but with the knee replacement, you will not be able to get up off the floor and don't even think about getting on all fours. Make sure you talk to your doctor to find out ALL the things you will no longer be able to do after the knee replacement, physical therapy (make sure you have a very good one), and how long the recovery will be (each person is different). I had my knee replaced at 6-9 yrs old & all the physical therapists in the rehab hospital were surprised at how fast my recovery went. Within 4 days following surgery, I was walking up and down stairs. I am hoping I can lose a bunch of weight so I can get my other knee replaced before my Doctor retires. Every surgery and recovery depends on the Doctor, the physical therapy team, and the individual, so what might have been a great experience for me, might not be for someone else. Good Luck! You will love not being in pain anymore and being able to walk and do things without fear of your knee giving out and causing you to do face plants (that is how bad mine was before surgery). I am keeping you all in my prayers.

Very sorry about the trials and tribulations with your truck. My employer assigned us a 2000 F-150 and really and truly it didn't do bad until the last couple of years we used it. Around 2018-2019 and it started using oil really bad. The oil just vanished into thin air. No leaks, no black smoke out of the tail pipe, so IDK We replaced it with a 2018 Ford Escape and so far so good. I retired in 2022 and they still had it. The funny part they assigned an Escape to one of our teams at another office. The problem was these guys didn't fit. One of them was 6'4 and the other one 6' 5". I'm 6' 0" and felt a little short on leg room, but okay. I didn't know about the stop start feature and got wigged out, the first time the engine shut off at a red light. Now my FIL drove Fords and owned a classic, an El Camino. His favorite vehicle was his Cessna L-19 Bird Dog. He learned to fly courtesy the US Army Air Corps. Another good one we used to tease my pastor, that he would rather push his Ford than drive a Chevy any day. Hey, his previous occupation was as a Paratrooper, anybody that jumps out of a perfectly operating aircraft, can't be completely normal. I once got crossways with a stealership over an air-conditioner this was a Dodge. They first changed the TXV for $150. Next day the A/C was out again. They said it was the front seal in the compressor and acted like they never saw me before, ever. I'm like hello, you worked on it yesterday and I bought the car here. Oh, this was going to be another $300. This is like 30 years ago. This would be more like a thousand or so today. I took it to an independent shop. He properly diagnosed it and said, it's just a busted hose. He proved it to me. Now that's a five star shop. I truly hope you finally get it fixed and can get back on the road, soon.

Had problems with my ac also. I took it to a shop because the warranty had expired. Two attempts to repair it and on the third one the technician said that the fan clutch was faulty and wasn’t pulling enough air through the radiator for the ac to work properly. Replaced the fan clutch and has worked ever since. This is might be something for you to look into.

Knee replacement. The most important part is PT, especially after surgery. Stick with it, give 100% effort, and you'll have very good results. It's gonna suck but it's just for a few weeks.
@jpol3808
@jpol3808 24 күн бұрын
The pt is key, working it the most you can without having it stop you from working it the next day! Ask for an ice machine and use it with the cold wrap and a towel between it and your skin. That helps with swelling and pain. Also because they limit narcotics don't be afraid to ask for more. If they reject, tell them you didn't decide to have a knee replaced just to get drugs! But also, when you take your motrin and Tylenol, separate them so you are taking a dose of one and the other is half way to it's next dose. That always keeps the levels up in your system and helps a lot, compared to taking them both at the same time, and having them both wear off at the same time! Stagger them. Use that knee as much as you can, muscle soreness..... Expect it! Two good things.... The knee pain you are suffering from now will be gone the minute you wake up in recovery. It will all then be surgical pain that will fade with time and exercise. And once your walking around you'll get tired but that will decrease with time and you'll be doing the foxtrot in no time! That is advise from the Mrs who has had 5.... Knee surgeries and 5 back surgeries and is still walking at 60! Last... Think about this logically for a moment.... They used to sell most cars without air conditioning... In every climate we have.... And the windows defrost once the engine heats up some. All the ac does in the winter is remove humidity from the cab so that the windows sweat less and don't frost on the inside! Yes old cars without air used to frost inside if there was heavy breathing and with a new knee you won't worry about that for a while!🤔🤦😮 I'll have to say three Hail Mary's for that! 🙆 Did I get you to turn red..... Bet I did if you read this together! 👍🤣 Take care. Good luck and hope you got the link I posted for you on the last video. Later! ✌️👍😉J Poll.

I had my total knee replacement surgery on the left knee 2 years ago. Pretty much agree with the other comments above. It is a painful recovery. Take the pain meds as directed. Keep moving. Do the therapy. Keep moving. The swelling lasts a long long time, sometimes after a year from the surgery. Did I mention to keep moving. It is so worth going through the surgery and not having that knee pain any more. Most importantly is do the therapy, do the therapy at home and keep moving!

Had a 2020 F250 Tremor. Loved that truck. Months and months of Ford trying to get the transmission right, nothing. Owned the truck for 12 months, and 6 of that, it was in the Ford shop. Finally the last Ford service shop offered to buy it from me. I took a bath on it, but I was that over it. I let them have it. Every attorney I spoke to told me I would likely lose, so don't spend the money on me. My wife had a 2020 Eplorer ST too many issues to list. Owned the vehicle for shy of 3 years. Was in the shop 12 months of the time we owned it. Finally, they fixed it, and we traded it in. I am so mad typing this and know how bad Ford and their dealerships play, the he said, she said game. I won't buy another Ford. I've had to replace my motor only after 80,000 miles. It took 2 months before the motor came. Had a sparkplug and coil unit go out at 70,000 miles. There's a recall on a part that's taking forever for ford to get. It broke in mine causing me to have the motor replaced. That recall part needs to be replaced in that new motor. Sounds like you're about to have a/c back in your truck as soon as you book it in. Great news indeed. Good thing you recorded ford's comments as well. Here in Canada, your truck would cost over $100,000. That's a lot of payments to have headaches like yours so we're glad your taking the time to air your experience. We have a 2016 f150 and stopped buying new ones because of price and transmission problems. When ever we took ours in under warranty, we were always told, " that's the first time we've heard of this problem " from the dealership. Like you guys, there's always others with the same problem and they hate to admit this. Keep up the updates. Get your knee looked at and sounds like a/c is in your future in the shiny red truck. Cheers from Canada.

I have had both of my knees replaced at the same time because I did not think I would ever get the second knee replaced if I did not do them at the same time. I put up with the pain of the bone to bone grinding and pain for about two years and then I decided to bite the bullet and have them fixed. I spent about six hours in surgery but when it was over I did not have much pain and they had me walking with crutches the second day after surgery. I stayed in rehab at the hospital for one week then went home. I had to do rehab myself at home but I did it religiously. That is what makes it work or not work. You have got to make yourself do the rehab or your knees will get stiff and the muscles will not develope as they should. My brother in law had one knee replaced and did not do the rehab and he wished he had never had the surgery but it was all his fault. I wish I had mine done two years earlier because mine was no big deal, I had only a small amount of pain for a short period of time and I am 85 years old now and my knees still work fine. Go have yours fixed and don’t look back, it’s a piece of cake if you do the rehab.

If they are telling you that your air conditioner compressor has put metal into the system then the entire system will need to be replaced, not just the compressor. At this point the entire system has been completely compromised. It will take a large amount of time to remove and replace all the components. Hopefully the repair(s) will be done correctly and they are a long term fix and not just a temporary band aid. Good luck, safe travels and Godspeed.

Air conditioning systems are super simple. Trust me I was a master technician for Ford for 40 years. If your air conditioning compressor is running that means the control head is working if your air-conditioning is not blowing on the inside that means either the blowers bad the blower motor resistor or the control head part that controls the blowerpretty easy to replace either one of those parts

But because my knee is okay I will have to be dragging my other knee to get that one replaced. Man oh man I understand your pain and that’s all you think about at times. I’m a retired mechanic so to me anything that makes a noise there’s something wrong. I asked my doctor why do I hear this sound. He and I have looked at the X-ray and nothing is wrong with the knee. He simply said nobody makes joints like Mother Nature. My pain management doctor said that he starts out with shots probably like what you have had then when the shot only lasts weeks it’s time to go to the ablation. That can be done in the office setting if they have the equipment. Good luck Cindy and D.

On another note. I would put a sign on the sides and tailgate of the truck stating the AC is under warranty, has not worked for X months & FORD has no fix for it or will address the problem. Make sure to include "Ford" in HUGE letters. When enough people see and ask questions, sales drops, and then action starts happening. You know, kind of like what happened with Bud Light? I just had to add another comment. Regarding your drive to "the valley," we live in the desert SW from Phoenix & would drive up to The Rim for camping & fishing, then go to Show Low to visit family & friends. BUT, when we first started those trips, that was a narrow two-lane road with hardly any shoulders. It had lots of potholes & we never made a trip without seeing a dead deer in the road. It is so much nicer now with the four lanes and no pot holes. I think the most beautiful drive in Arizona is driving the 87 from Fountain Hills to Payson and then the 260 to Show Low, absolutely beautiful!

Ironically, I saw a knee surgeon to consult about knee replacement after the onset of pain in both knees after we moved all our stuff into a new home. I first thought it was from overuse of them. But later and after 3 years of injections we we decided to move again and once I left the other house where the pain began, it vanished in both knees and hasn't returned in over 8 years. Go figure. As near as I can tell there was something in the other house that caused the sudden inflamation that lasted the 3 years we were there. The previous owners were both crippled while living there and in wheel chairs, then passed away, which is where the opportunity came up for us to purchase the home. I'm so glad fate intervened and caused our need to move again after only 3 years. Knee problems gone. Not sure what was in that house. Perhaps mold or some other toxin. The house is located in the desert southwest with dry hot weather. Perhaps some insect infestation, nit or other critter. It started the day we moved in and stopped 2 weeks after moving out. Hopefully the new owner is okay. I don't know them but would like to speak to them about this just to see if they experienced anything similar.

I know that a complete AIR COMPRESSOR install back in 1985 paid the machanic about 4 FLAG Hrs.. meaning if 1 FLAG Hour is $65.00 he would get $260.00 for that job no matter if it took 2hrs or 6hrs it was the same pay... unless it was warranty work, the dealer had to eat most of that cost.. thank you and keep up the Videos!!

Had both knees replaced. Im 65 now and after 4 years I feel like I have the knees of a 18 year old. Work on your strength in your legs building up the muscles it will speed up your recovery a lot faster. I worked out 4 months prior to my left surgery had extremely fast recovery. Didn’t work out nearly as much on the right a year later and recovery was about two weeks longer. WORK THEM LEGS BABY!!!!!

I have a 2019 F150 XLT sport FX4 that I bought brand new in December of 2019. Bought it on December 31st in Oklahoma City, then on January 5th of 2020 drove it to Pittsburgh PA for work. Had been there about 2 weeks and got a check engine light. This is before the first oil change. Crank case ventilation sensor, they replaced it. Said it was a common failure. I installed an aftermarket air intake, check engine light. Took it in several times, they replaced valve cover gaskets, pcv valve, finally said they couldn’t figure it out and wouldn’t touch it until the stock air filter system was back on. Put it back on, check engine light gone, 1 point for Ford. Returned home from that job and noticed my floor was wet on the passenger side as I was cleaning the truck. They had to install a plastic elbow on the AC drain tube and run it down the firewall. They also had to replace my carpet because there was mold ( said it was another common issue due to the drain tube issue ) I’m at almost 90,000 miles now, and since 2020 they have replaced my tailgate handle assembly ( it just broke one day ), the module that controls my infotainment system/ APIM, purge valve, rebuilt my transmission, fixed my passenger side seat belt, replaced the cam phasers in the engine ( yet another common issue with the 3.5 eco boost), oh and the flimsy carpet panel behind the engine that’s under the truck for “ aerodynamics “ just fell off one day. Another common issue, the fix is for me to buy the transmission skid plate from a 2019 Raptor and install it myself. Luckily I got the Ford extended service plan, so it hasn’t cost me a ton of money, just extremely frustrating.

we had a Flex with a Ford backed extended warranty. our ac went out days after new purchase in 2017. we have had 3 compressors since, it was a 7 year warranty, the last was in month 83. it took 6 weeks and we were told ford policy was the vehicle was to be left on site to keep the warranty in effect. Upon return of the vehicle interior was filthy with paw prints and animals mess. the vehicle was left outside with the driver window open for the entire time. I was told by the dealership it was ford policy long term vehicles left on site need the drivers window open in case the keys were lost to gain access. called ford, no such policy exists. be leary of the dealership and make sure your truck is taken care of. ps I had the interior detailed and sent the bill to the dealership, small claims court here we come!

My mom had her knee replaced at 82, her first surgery ever. Not even a broken bone. She did all the exercises they showed her to do before the surgery (our neighbor didn't 70). Mom had two fays of pain and she was trucking all over with her walker and wished she would have done it years ago. PS the neighbor that didn't do the pre surgery exercise was in miserable pain for weeks and wasn't able to get around very well for a while! Be the bulldog start finding corporate office phone numbers. And remember its a truck.... I had to fight with the VA for my Dad that was retired military 22 1/2 years with 13k hours flying time. Concerning your knee surgery, do the PT before as best you can and most importantly start it right after you are discharged from the hospital. I have had both knees done, (complete replacement's) and with the first one they dropped the ball and did not get me in for PT right away. I paid dearly for that with swelling and terrible pain had to have my leg wrapped for a week and then started PT. The second knee I took care of the PT appointments myself BEFORE the surgery and got into PT right away with no pain, swelling or any problems. So the PT, to me, is the most important aspect to a successful recovery. Good luck and keeping up good hopes for your truck repair problem - I WAS a strong Ford Truck guy until reading your plight herein, now I am thinking twice before I buy another ever again...

Slightly off your main topic, your knee. I had my left knee replacement in 2005, for the first 3 months after the operation, my life was miserable, I would wake up every night in severe pain, and sit on the bed, not knowing what to do. I couldn't take pain medicine due to having had a gastric bypass in 1996. A friend of mine, had a double knee replacement, and was up and walking, with very little discomfort, within 10 days of his operation. So it's more about each individuals way of healing, than anything else. On the bright side, my knee has been great, since the initial 3 months of pain. Best of luck with your replacement. 😁

On my 2000 Ford F-250 ( V-10) gas engine. My Cat. Converter failed. Got the same runaround from the Dealer, and this was a dealership that did service on Ford big trucks and Sterling. I. Went to a muffler shop, and the guy at that shop smiled at me and said look further into uour warranty, he would not replace the cat. Converter. He wven said do you want me to CALL dealer and tell them that that FORD has to replace it. I read in the fine print in my warranty and sure enough it was written in the manual. The Ford truck shop did end up replacing it. Then right before I traded in my Ford for the 2021 Silverado 3500, thief's cut it off my truck in my driveway. My RING camera filming a 40 second theft job. We let the county PD officer copy ring filming to his phone. It helped another city PD find and know who the thiefs were. Are Ring camera got the vehicle that used And license plate. A detective from the city PD follow up with a call to my wife on how my camera helped in investigation 😊 the replacement for me with anti theft rebar cage was very expensive.

I bought a 1979 F250 super cab from a neighbor for a $100 it had 46 thousand miles on it. It would drive up to 45 mph and die like you shut off the key. That truck was bought brand new. It was shipped all over the USA to the top Ford mechanic dealer ship's. For 10 years they couldn't fix it. They took whole truck apart and couldn't fix it. It set out in the back for years. My dad and I took truck to our house I wanted a challenge so took it on. It was a farm truck so it was beat up. The bed had a 5th wheel hitch in it. But it was never cleaned out so before I bought it it was removed long ago but the bed of truck was rotten. Had to replace it so I removed the whole truck box. To fix the rotten bed. In doing so. Could look at the entire fuel system. I made a little bowl and attached fuel line to it. I could lay under the hood pouring gas into bowl driving around the field could get it past 45 moh and never died. So started looking at fuel lines and found the main rubber fuel line was rotted in the middle and restricted fuel flow. But on the outside of line wasn't pinching off. The Ford company told my neighbor that it was his problem to figure out. Not theirs. He was so mad. After I bought the truck I had it doing 80 mph going up and down the road like it was brand new. In a months time. They just really over looked the simple things. I've caught myself doing that even with the brand new vehicles of today. I wish you guys the best of luck. But what my neighbor went through back in the 80's I wouldn't wish on anyone. Yes he was able to buy that truck out right for the farm with cash when he bought it brand new. I know that you have a way different problem but still kinda the same Ole solution from Ford sweep it under the rug and move on. When Ford found out I fixed the truck they were very very upset and very confused. My dad always taught me to think out side the box with machines any thing is possible but not every thing is probable

Ask if the shavings from the compressor have affected the whole system. If it gets in one part of the hoses it is all over the system and all of it will have to be replaced. Flushing will, more than likely, not help get all of the shavings out. Which will probably cause another failure. Get advice from a shop that works on them and see what they say. Kind of like getting a second opinion on her knee. Before letting the first doctor operate. Good luck. The tech might be right about it going out. Get in writing before driving off the lot that if something does happen the warranty is still valid. Tell them to extend the warranty for a longer time since it will be a new part. For your troubles.

Sounds like a typical Ford desiccant pack rupture. Send the desiccant throughout the whole system. You have to replace everything. You may be able to flush the lines and reuse, but you have to replace, compressor, condenser, evaporator, orifice valve, everything. Requires dash removal. And they will rupture again in the future. I know a lot of Fords driving around without AC. They still have not fixed it and it has been going on since 2012. I needed knee replacement. I did the mostly carnivore diet, and they don't hurt anymore and I go on 10 mile walks. I had the MRI's and visited the Surgeion.

I live in IN. Last year I bought a used F-150 from a dealer. Because I live in the rust belt, I wanted an aluminum body Ford....my old Ram was rusting. I was very reluctant to purchase the Ford because it had some obvious unreported damage repair and trivial issues like the panoramic sunroof struggling to open. The sales manager went to open the roof and it wouldn't open.....his face looked funny. 😂 Later I fixed it myself with new tracks I bought cheap from Amazon. Not a $100k truck....only $35k....a 2015 Platinum....5.0 V8 6-speed trans....8 years old with 73k miles. I was reluctant to trade off my old Ram.....should've kept it for a spare. They sold it for twice what they gave me for it. I don't trust dealers....I should've walked away.....they acted weird. They really act weird when a buyer is a car guy....I do all of my own maintenance. I had my Ram in tip top mechanical shape except for the rusting bed sides. The truck has been good....I do love the truck.....luxurious. The problem with every car nowadays is, the technology is beyond the scope of the old school backyard mechanic. But adapting to the changes with entry level diagnostic tools isn't beyond reach. I would never buy new anything.....the depreciation is the main reason. But another is, trying to get warranty service from a bunch of burger flippers! Hope you and Diane's sister get it sorted out.

Toyota 05 and up had frame rust problems. Gms had some with motor problems. Dodge wiring problems they all have problems. Do your research.

Toyota replaced all the rusted frames without any problems. Toyota stands behind its cars and trucks the (big three) don't and never will.

Chains stretch over time. Some manufacturers tell you to replace it at so many miles.

second video in my feed! now i'm hooked!@ in my experience (master CDJR Tech) we've had people schedule a appointment for their issue and have a loaner ready and basically demand truck/car fixed until the return. i've seen customers in loaners for months! but eventually their car gets fixed and they go on their merry way.

Thank you for the advice. My doc has already started me on PT, he wants me to strengthen the surrounding muscles even before surgery. And trust me, they’re in bad shape because I’ve not been able to do anything for so long now. Looks like I’ll be doing PT for a long time to come.

Good luck with your knee replacement, be glad Ford isn’t in the knee joint business!!! I have a 1999 F350 with the 7.3 diesel in it, love the truck but wanted something newer, with all of the problems with the Ford diesels after the 7.3, there is no way I’d own another one and opted to go with a Ram 3500 because of the Cummins! Hope you get this resolved soon!

Hey guys it is very frustrating what your dealing with but I’ve driven ford all my life and yes I had one bad one where my blew up twice and it was very bad but I’ve had the best luck with ford and I currently drive a 21 F350 four-wheel-drive diesel king Ranch and I have 80,000 miles and outside of oil changes no problems. My heart goes out to the problems that you’re dealing with. Good luck.

I have a 88 Chevy 1 ton Dually & a 99 suburban with ice cold ac. My wife wears a Hoodie in my truck in Texas. But my newest vehicle has no ac a 08 Harley. Lol

I had my Left knee replaced yesterday. The right knee was replaced 2 yrs ago. They were both bone on bone. I'm up walking around @ home with a walker today and start PT tomorrow . I did injections in both knees for 5 yrs and had good results toward the end they lost effectiveness, hence the replacements. PT is by far the worst. but you gotta do it.

Here's a suggestion that actually worked for one of my friends in fighting Ford and their lousy warranty claims process. He also had an F350 4x4 with the diesel engine. His problem was that the rear differential made a noise right from the get-go. Ford refused to fix it because it was a company truck that towed equipment, Duh, isn't that why you buy an HD F350? Well, after a runaround like you're having, he called the local news channel. Their investigating reporter jumped on it, and within 2 weeks, Ford replaced the entire rear axle assy. What have you got to lose? Give it a try.

Had mine replaced 3 years ago, best thing I ever did. Not gonna lie, physical therapy is tough BUT if you follow their instructions you’ll have a much better result. Your new knee will never be as good as the one God have you but it’ll be 100% better than what you have now.

I’m always glad to hear when someone is glad they had the surgery! I had Rostov cuff surgery several years back and I remember how hard PT was. But I got my arm back so now I need to get my leg back! Thanks so much for the comment. ~C

Isn't it amazing how complex these new vehicles are with no competent service techs available! There is some electronically savy person that can diagnose this problem but it won't be at a dealer They won't pay for competent. if it's the a/c module and is not avail then what? It's not just Ford. Don't guess I'll ever buy new again Keep the faith folks

I am a fleet mechanic with 2 kinds of vehicles. Ford E series 350 and 450 and Dodge/ Chrysler vehicles. The Chrysler products are by far my biggest headaches. Jeep is a good vehicle until it isn't. Lots of electrical issues there too rotten fuse boxes... just give it time. Your in an area that uses salt on the road! It's everything not just a few brands, my favorite saying... they are all junk. Now for the F350...here is something to think about.... somewhere there is an identical truck to yours that has been in an accident/totaled etc. That vehicle most likely had a working ac... it is now useless but has the parts you need for your truck! There are reputable shops and repair people that can help you get over this issue...maybe on your dime but at least there is a option! Get it fixed and ship it down the road. Best of luck!!
