I am so ready and Done with my Chevy. Now its another rear main seal leaking again. Between the Engine and the Transmission. GM can't find out the problem. Been 11 times in the shop. I only have 42k miles on it. I would rather have an A/C issue then Engine and Transmission issues. I traded my Dodge in for the Chevy. Cause the Dodge Transmission and Fuel regulator issues and it had 27k miles on it. Dodge couldn't figure it out. So yeah I deal with the A/C issue. Never again will I buy a Brand new vehicle. To many electrical problems. Went and pulled out my Excursion. Might buy my Uncles 94 F250. It has 567k miles on it. All original but slightly smokes.

I bought a new ford in 1985, it kept blowing the brain ( ECM ) had it in the Stealership several times for weeks at a time only to happen as soon as I pulled off the lot or sometimes didnt even make it out of the parking space on the lot and they acted like I was doing something until finally I made the service manager take it for a test drive before I touched it to leave.... Long story short they finally fixed it and I drove right down the road to another dealership and traded it in for a Chevy... its 2024 and Ive never touched a Ford since that day and never will ever again.

@lincolnls0416Ай бұрын
@ragingbull1267 now that is a funny lie. My uncles 85 Ford has over 600k miles and never had any ECM issues. I know bout 100 other people that didn't have an ECM issue. How is it your the only 1. Cause if more then 10 people it would have been on recalls like my Chevys and Dodge's. If you bought it used then the truck was rewired up for aftermarket lights or something.

Ford contacted me on a Recall on my old Ranger. My local dealer kept blowing me off, giving me the back order BS. I own and operate an Auto Repair, I called the Ford warehouse that I use to get my Ford parts about the Back Order. My salesperson said how many do you want I'll have them on your counter in the morning. So I called my dealer and asked how many they wanted and explained I had an unlimited supply. They decided maybe they could schedule me in. When I got the Survey I was honest, within 10 minutes after someone put a bug up his butt and he was on the phone crying his eyes out, offering free oil changes, Tire Rotations anything - Just Change That Survey. Thank you both for your videos. Please keep us posted. Would like to see how it works during extreme heat. Reason is, if metal was found in the receiver drier, them flushing the condenser is not industry standard. They should have replaced the condenser because flushing it will not clean the metal out of the tubes. The tubes are parallel mounted and flushing it is not going to clean all the tubes. This will cause passages to still be blocked by metal and reduces to cooling capacity of the condenser.
@cayankeelord3730Ай бұрын
True. General practice is to always replace the types of condensers that incorporate a filter/dryer within them. The problem isn't a restriction of flow, it's that if any metal particles are present, as a result of the compressor destroying itself that didn't get flushed out, then they will migrate to the TXV and can plug the orifice and cause the TXV not to meter the refrigerant properly or not at all. The work was probably done under a warranty claim by a dealership and they will only repair and not alter a system. I've done HVAC work in the past and dealt with this type of problem before, long after a warranty has expired. I've done the process as it was described in the video, but added two micron filters in circuit. One before the TXV, and one before the compressor. That way if there are any foreign contaminants in the system, they will not pass and obstruct the orifice in the TXV or cause a problem for the compressor. The filters are only about $30 each, but it takes some reconfiguring and plumbing work to install them. Kind of a pain, but well worth it.

As a season phoenix area ac service technician i will not be confident if i dont do the ac condensor. The newer trucks ac condensor are very hard to flush out . Ask me how i know. When these type of small passage way condensor first came out, we flushed them like old style, and its a 50/50 chance the debri did not get flushed out. Never have treated me as poorly as what you have experienced. I love my 2017 F350 SRW rig. Got it souped up and I'm getting 17+MPG with the upgrades on the engine. Couldn't be happier with its overall performance. I have a 2019 Vanleigh Beacon 5th wheel that I tow. Don't give up on your rig! These issues with a bad dealer is very frustrating! But, they're not all lemons. If you used to go to Peoria Ford.. yeah.. steer clear of them! That's where I bought my rig. 2 years of service from them and then I went back to Sanderson. I even bought an extended warranty from Sanderson which is a Ford extended warranty. Best on your future travels! Don't give up on the F350.. Cliff B.

As someone who rebuilds vehicles as a career then as a hobby……the second any AC system has contaminated oil and Freon the system hoses can be flushed along with the Evaporator core. But the dryer/accumulator, compressor and condenser needed to be replaced. Why? The small particles of the original compressor will contaminate the old condenser and dryer and are not easily removed during flushing? So after the system runs with these small particles it will make its way back into the new compressor and cause premature failure………This is documented in several product journals regarding AC overhaul and can be viewed on KZbin. The Dealership followed bad practice? Keep your documents for future use.

@@hathawaywego When you read off the shop work order they removed the radiator and condenser? Which seems correct. Just to get at the hoses. But the flushing of the condenser and reusing it is a Bozo move. Just had a Jeep Wrangler with 25000 miles and failed condenser that was done the same way at Dealership. It lasted just over a month in the heat. Now with compressor bearing squealing. And pressure reading all dropping? Owner went to private Radiator and AC shop who diagnosed failed compressor again? The AC system needs to be NASA clean room clean!

I've got a few warranty issue youtube vidoeos on my channel with my RV. Ford truck warranty complaints must be a better topic than Thor Motor Coach RV warranty complaints. LOL I've learned that no matter how much social media posts you put up about your problems, these manufacturers and dealers could care less. Does it get the word out, yes it does but the average consumer turns a blind eye to it and still buys what they want to buy even if they saw a video about a massive issue. This will not hurt the sale of Ford Super Duties. However, it should. The vast majority of consumers still don't do their research and I've preached this on my channel.

my experience tells me to also replace the condenser. it is of a microchannel design, although more efficient the passages are tiny. flushing is not fully effective due to the size, hence the "micro". replacement would added expensive hours to the project. if it fails again remember this nomenclature "microchannel condenser " when they balk at replacement . good luck.
@jimmyaber5920Ай бұрын
The condensers are not suggested to be flushed. The flow is parallel and some passages with debris can remain contaminated as the others will pass air and solvent and leave a plugged passage with debris to get loose later and kill another compressor or plug expansion valve. I am a certified master tech with 50 years experience and this is something that cropped up 30 years ago when R134a refrigerant rolled out and condensers had to have much high heat dissipation. Aluminum parallel flow condensers replaced the previous single path serpentine flow condensers used with R12 refrigerant.

ya better off selling that and getting an 90's F250 with a 7.3, be allot cheaper to keep running and allot less of a head ache that dealing with the dealer, cause that AC is gonna be the least of your worries once the cam phasers and egr cooler start causing issues.

I doubt it's been repaid, although is working.

One more thing.. if they 'thought' it would blow up after replacing the compressor.. I'm not stupid.. If THEY don't flush the system out and get rid of the contaminates, yeah... there would BE possibility of it blowing up again. So, they were IMHO trying to cheap out on the repair in the first place. Best, Cliff B.

Glad y'all managed to get it fixed... with all the problems that Ford is having with recalls and so many mechanics that have been laid off due to economy being in sad shape! Glad ya got it fixed 😊 My local dealer has laid off 4 mechanics and the average time for major repairs is about 3-4 months, not ro mention that parts are really hard to get. Not making execuses, just stating the facts... Life today is NOT what is was pre-covid...😠 Have fun on your future endeavors 🤔🤗

She is pretty all cleaned up. Good video! Just looked at your views might want to reconsider your ford videos. Just saying numbers don’t lie!

So at this point, with all the dealer visits. Have they at any time replaced the same part three times. In my state that automatically qualifies it for a lemon law buyback. Same part. three times. Automatic triggering of buyback..

Yes you do get sealing rings which are not 'O' they are called 'D' rings - for higher preassures 😂

If the old compressor "blew up" as in the internal pieces went into the AC system you have to replace the condenser and other parts because you will never get the parts out of the system. The new compressor will be damaged and warranty would be voided on a new compressor. If just the clutch on the AC compressor went out then you can just change the compressor motor.

Can I ask how long ya'll been married? You two remind me of my wife and I. We only have 15 years under our belt. Life is so much better when you have your best friend and soul mate standing at your side. I'm glad ya'll got your pickup fixed. I have a 2007.5 Dodge ram 3500 6.7L cummins and we tow our 37ft camper and I'm dreading the day the transmission goes. It's not if but when. I would love to have a brand new tow rig, but they are too complicated to work on and too expensive to buy. I wish you the best of luck and safe travels. Looking forward to new videos.

Well I’m glad to hear good news. If everything else is going good trucks a keeper ??

My mind is perpetually blown with what you all have to put up with on this truck deal. Just completely baffled by it.
@BigT-u4zАй бұрын
As I've mentioned before, I hope you got an extended warranty. If you just have the 36,000 warranty when you are traveling milage will go by real quick. They put on the old style compressor and not the new style compressor, I bet it goes out just a few miles after warranty goes out. It's getting cooler now not being used as much. It may go out next summer when you need it again. Wish you the best.

Congratulations! The whole problem should have been addressed properly by Ford long ago. Check all front end parts for those pesky plastic connectors. All it takes is one at 70 mph the wiggle abunch loose😂.

That's why I have a GMC. I even had the A/C unit literally MELTED in my truck. 3 days in to out, and then they did a complete cleaning by a professional 1 extra day.

Great that you guys have this delema to a 'cool' conclusion. It's unfair that a billion dollar industry that we all rely on so much in life gets to treat working people, the same ones that made them prosperous, should have to go through this much to get a new un-abused vehicle of their flawed design repaired under the warranty that is supposed to prevent this kind of corporate abuse. A long road for sure. (And I know an exhausting one at that), but thank you for your time and effort for putting these high and mighty back into reality. If you build through design a beautiful but flawed vehicle (and expensive at that) you better tack your lashings and fix it!

If they really wanted an appreciation survey filled out by you, THEY should have washed and polished your truck AND filled it up with diesel for you, accompanied by an apology for all the delays and hassles.
