Think it's brave of ya to upload it mate, we all make mistakes, there are people out there in the car world who act like they've never set a foot wrong. It's like you're expected to know everything/get everything right first time or you're not a real car guy/mechanic. If this happens again to you put a ratchet strap at the back of your Recovery vehicle fasten it to the front of the car are you recovered and ratchet strap the car off save you a headache

Travel back in time and turn the jack 90 degrees anti-clockwise, lift under tow bar and jack will lift the back end over to the right and back on the ramps, hindsight eh?

Wow an estate as well, not many of thise around! I had a Sierra back in the day, bought it from an auction for £500 to my surprise there were a full set of pepperpot alloys with good tyres on, in the boot! Mine was a 'bitser' car bit of this of bits of that, thought the gear stick looked a bit out of place and much older, it was, it was a cortina gearbox! Went well though, got some of my money back selling the alloys for £150.👍 Top tip when storing a car for any length of time, NEVER apply the handbrake!! 😳😲😁 Have fallen foul to that one a couple of times, I'd just like to know who comes along in the middle of the night 6 months into storing it and spot welds the rear brakes on full?😳😲😁

Yeh I like an estate think they look cool it’s the 3rd sierra I’ve owned I broke the first one the second one got stolen now I’m on my third one hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one

Yeah I got bit by the estate 'bug' back on my mid 20s, the kind of cars I was into and had back then were the sporty sleek types, I had a couple of Opel Manta GTE, one a coupe in red and an awful hatchback one in like a bronze metallic brown, it had a gold door though!! 😳😁 But went to see an astra not the GTE but a blue estate one, which put me off straight away! I was brought up estates were for old men who wore slippers lol my dad had a couple, one of them a mk1 escort estate in white, with that weird long rear window... Anyway the salesman worked his magic, he sold me the estate dream of practical motoring, sensible huge boot, ideal for fishing, he knew I was into carp fishing, great for camping, yeah he knew how to sell a car, great for a family, I had no kids yet but he could see we were a young couple and my wife was like oh yeah that'd be great for putting a pram in!. I was scratching my head, like, PRAM...is there something you've not told me!! So I paid my money and was now officially a 'slipper wearing old man' After having owned an estate and lived with one, they never leave you 😁 As well as my Fiat Panda 4x4 I have a 2006 mk2 Ford Focus 2.0 estate in ghia trim, still going strong and just prepping it for our summer hols. I'm looking to replace our focus but it HAS to be an estate, looking at volvo estates, audi estates, another focus estate, maybe a mk3.....not yet sure but the estates are thin on the ground, definitely want either black, white or silver and the right trim level, might have a very long wait....😁👍

Yep had a few estates myself I love them especially with a towbar I had a 08 plate laguna estate I give £400 for it a few year back an fell in love with them if I see an other in Copart I’m buying it 😜

@@cpdautos9592 Yeah those laguna sport tourers were quite nice, they had the rear window that opened seperately. Like a sleaker estate type shape, not so boxy. I had the mk1 laguna 2.0 hatchback had the usual electrical gremlins but was typically French and kept going wrong Another estate I'd have is the MG ztt they are nice motors , especially the 2.5 v6. I think they used to race the estate version in some touring car series? I had an MG zt 1.8 T which is the k series rover engine with a turbo, was quite a spacious sporty family car, had a bit of get up and go when the turbo kicked in, think it was something like 160bhp from a 1.8 and really good fuel economy as well as low insurance. Mine was one of the later ones so had the HG upgrades. Quite a rare car now, not seen many about.

Under rated car ,so much space ,less to go wrong , simple electricals ,post 87car can do huge miles with reasonable economy .I have a 1.8 lx estate ,140k no oil consumption mid 40s to the gallon in need of sills too ,ziebarted did not help.

I used to end up beached like a whale aswell when I had my home made bed recovery truck now after buying one with a proper ally bed meant for carrying cars I can get them on and off with 4 flat tyres and with me driving them on and I weigh nearly 18 stone 🙃
