Id have a beer with that guy!!! We have had loads of pieces swapped out without proper diagnostics. Now we have garage similar to this guy, straight up and to the point. Don't want some bull answers rather have it straight. This might solve our problem but will check first and let you know. Thanks

Fair cop . And well done for putting the answer at the end! I changed a fuel pump to find out the solinoid was faulty. What a plonker. Had fuel tank out , fuel filter changed but no start. Had checked solinoid for voltage but not (the other test) just bought new solinoid for 5 bucks as no harm in trying. Started first time run perfect since. Definitely worth fixing.

all good, They are NOT all the same....... Need to take time to diagnose correctly other wise you will just chuck parts into it.

Have the same problem, air is entering fuel system. Check by putting clear line on return line back to fuel filter. Replaced fuel filter and housing and the injector return seals. Pressurize system and look for leaks. I cut used the old filter housing fitting and attached clear lines to see where air was coming from. Im not sure if the sending unit has a pump built in, but this problem is could be avoided or exacerbated due to air not being replaced by fuel

ive had transits since day one..... genuine parts and oil and filter every 4.000 mile and they stay good for ever....never let them run low on diesel and always use a genuine fuel filter....

Ford witchcraft with the filter housing is what is the problem, the return from injectors re joins the housing and joins the inlet through the housing causing air to keep circulating to the pump , your a wizard fella

where is the speed sensor located on the 6sp RWD transmission on Ford Transit LWB 2012 T155 2.2L? Van goes into limp mode at 40mph with TCS dash light flashing. Diagnosed as wiring/faulty VSS, because (when goes into limp mode) all 4 wheel speed sensors report speed but VSS reports no data (0 mph).

Hi can I ask a question,, I don't know much about the Ford transit van but I seen one on market place, he said it needs a new fuel pump, I wonder how much that would cost to fix up?? It's 2005 diesel
@PTPrecisionAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
i Dout it needs a fuel pump

@@PTPrecisionAutomotive it done 379k OK thanks for your APROX info I know in my mitzubitzy Delica about fuel pumps and the costs involved ,, mine is OK but eventually it will be on the blink. ... Any suggestions for this, was driving my mk5 transit when it just stopped, the collar had worked loose and the fuel filter had fallen out and was on top of the starter 🤣 So I’ve put a new filter on having filled it with diesel, cracked the injectors and it started right up, van seemed great until I tried to start it next day and I thought oh god it’s sucking in air😱 I’ve had weeks of trouble, even put a new lift pump on (clutching at straws) got another fuel filter housing but still same problem!!!!! It’s at the stage now where I get it started and it eventually sucks so much air in it stops after about 20 mins ticking over ☹️ all that happened was the f**cking filter fell off!!!!!! Van was great before that!!! I was a panel beater for 25 years and have always done my own mechanical work as well and these old transits are pretty simple!! I just as well have a zip on the fuel filter housing and everything else!! It all points to the fuel filter and I feel like raffles trying to crack a safe now🤣
@PTPrecisionAutomotive2 жыл бұрын
you need to do a injector leak off test. and test pump pressure and relief valve
@julianmorris99512 жыл бұрын
@@PTPrecisionAutomotive thanks for the advice, I’ll try and get that done in the next few days!! this van is killing me slowly 🤣
@keithsale6417 Жыл бұрын
The air in the lines accumulates you really need to spend the time removing the air first and then watching to see where it is coming from. I deleted the return to the fuel filter. Running the leak off lines straight back to the tank. This way air would not circulate back to pump via filter housing. Still not sure where air is coming from. Either leaking in on the injection pump, the lines or possibly combustion air somehow forcing it's way back up the injectors to the leak off lines..??

Hi. You should edit out the bit in the middle where you say you won’t tell. Looking at a 2005 2.4 Transit done around 100k. Are these not worth the bother? Should I stick to Sprinter or Fiat/Renault?
@PTPrecisionAutomotive3 жыл бұрын
People need to learn to watch the whole thing [not just short cut....] Sprinter would be the pick But Transit over every thing else.

I don’t think that is a fair comment at all. He’s gone out of his way to make this video to try to help people it’s not that he won’t tell you how to fix it. It’s that he changed a whole load of different parts while he was doing a job and some one of those fixed the issue. Be fair and credit where credits due!
