Looks very professional, i wish my mate would have bumped into you at some point, He bought a lowish miles (50k ish) 2012 Subaru Outback diesel a few years ago, after around 9 months of ownership it started juddering on regen, a while later the money light came on and it went into limp mode, went to a local garage who after a week and over £1200 had cleaned the dpf, changed a few sensors etc etc and said this may or may not fix it (they sent dpf off to be heat cleaned as apparently chemical cleaning doesn't work as there was melted carbon stuck to everything inside, from previous heat cleaning no doubt!) a while later the same problem occurred so he went to Subaru who fitted a brand new dpf and other parts for an extortionate amount and recently its started juddering on regen again and he's just waiting for the light to come back on, i think its still on only around 70k, nightmare!

Glow plugs possibly. Can test with a circuit tester

Remove clean and new vaporiser for full job its £500 + vat .

Does the new injector need coding to the vehicle? Would you always go for Ford parts or aftermarket?

No simple plug and play no need to code or Prime it . Main dealer are around £240 + vat . I have managed to get them after market for £150 + vat ish. Over the years I've only had 3 in total fail or need to be replaced so I would say use the after market ones.

Hello, what did you wash the filter with after chemical treatment. Was it water?

Yes out machine used water to rise the chemical treatment out . We then dry it and fit it back like new .

Replaced a dpf on a transit today because it was blocked, i was getting 25kpa so thats why i changed it, but am now thinking i need to get the van back in to change the vapourizer as it was covered in soot , i could not see that hole !!!.

25 kpa is not a huge amount. Simply try and blow though the fuel line on the vaporiser if you cant then it will need to be replaced.

Amazing to think that all the soot from the cleaning would have gone into the air.

Instead it buggers up your engine and you have to use harmful cleaning products to clean so still bad for the environment.
