I feel your pain. One time to convince the customer he does need a new dpf as well.

I had reasonable success taking one off after running the exhaust hot as buggers. It was a tipper though so the access was decent.

Took me three days once to remove an exhaust gas temperature sensor from my my car's exhaust. Ended up cutting it and then using a special socket to remove what was left of it after I'd rounded off the edges of the nut. Oh the joy when I felt it finally start to turn and then I got it out.

Next time cut the sensor flush and just use a regular socket on it

Nightmare, I feel that pain. Definitely worth extra £50 that for the headache and risking the unknown and still saving them money on broken parts not being replaced.

Had mine all taken out. Bloody thing clogged up every year meaning 2 days off work to have it force cleared using an i.t. giy with a laptop. Feckin useless design, just like rear door hinges seizing up, the hands free voice command is dislexic , the engine and box are crap and not up to the task of being a work van, door sensors fail, the front mud guards are do small all the grit hammers the wings and rust. Ford... never again

Ive been trying to find a spare for a 2.0. I can't find one anywhere, only 2.2 vaporizer's come up 😢
