I've been a loyal GM guy pretty much my whole life. I test drove all three 2019 models last month, extensively. For luxury, comfort, interior styling and handling...the Ram Limited is light years ahead of GM or Ford. The seats in the Ram are wider and way more comfortable!!!! In the Ford and GM, you feel like you're sitting "on" the leather seats. In the Ram with it's supple leather and well designed seat cushion material, there is a much softer and enveloping feel where you actually sit "in" the seats. This Ram is really nice and over the past decade, we've seen reliability pretty neck-in-neck between the Big Three. Ford, GM and Ram all have issues, however it seams like GM and Ford are having much bigger issues lately. GM quality has been on a decline the last several years, which is why I finally switched away from GM. GM just recalled over 3 million Trucks and SUVs for diminishing brake performance in 2015 - 2018 models and now their 2019 GM Trucks are experiencing brake power assist loss and also complete brake failures. Wow, Brakes!?!?! Ford is having a horrendous time with their new 10 speed tranny as well. Ram has the nicest Luxury truck, hands down... and that is what this video was SUPPOSED to be about.

Sierra GMC - Really nice exterior, imponent design, plenty of power, but when you get in side just sad how this engineer team killed this truck, and add on top of that it's not more reliable than the RAM is....the owners reviews will tell you by itself. F150 (Lariat) - doesn't has the most beautiful exterior, has a acceptable interior, but the drivability, stability, and the 10 speed transmission are really good, besides that the 3.5 v6 ecoboost or V8 coyote are outstanding engines, so I ended up getting a F150 , and after 12 months I can tell that it was the best decision I've made, In December we're gonna get a new one and it will be a Limited for sure.

Ford has been the world design leader for at least 9 years. The two other trucks in this video are clearly doing their own designs. However everything from Toyota to VW are copying everything else. In a television commercial, a proud owner of a 2019 Chevrolet SUV comments; "just look at it". My comment: It looks just like a 2015 Ford Edge. Except the grille on the Ford is a little sleeker.

I am a fist time Pickup buyer, trying to determine which vehicle is best for my needs. I have huge dogs and have to travel with them not infrequently. I have for the past 15-20 years used Lexus SUV's to transport them and travel daily to work. However, humongous dogs can foul up the interior of an SUV rather quickly, hair, drool, mud, etc. I recently found a company in SC, BackYard Customs LLC that makes custom kennels and boxes that fit into the beds of Pickups. They are made out of Al+, which will not work for my dogs, Structural Steel will be required, making the kennels significantly heavier. If a 200 Lb dog with a 28.5-31 inch circumference neck gets its muzzle between the Al+ bars of one of these kennel boxes, so long bars. The boxes will fit perhaps two dogs, doubtful that three can fit in a single pickup bed. Unlike my SUV, I will not be driving the pick-up to work or daily, mostly on weekends and using it with my gardening, to pull a horse trailer or pull a trailer with my compact tractor between properties. The leather seating is a better option, as it is easier to clean, as I have found getting dog hair off of the seat fabric is nearly impossible. I just tested drove the Ford F-150 Platinum, Ram Limited, GMC Sierra Denali, Crew cab, short beds. The Ford has the most mundane exterior appearance, has a very cheap appearing dashboard, with lots a hard plastic, and the worst ride of any of the 3 Pickups by a long, long, long shot. Bounces you all over the darn place with lots of vibrations, and that is with both the 20 and 22 inch wheels (drove both, thinking it must the be large 22 inch wheels causing the poor ride quality). Unfortunately minimal improvement with the 20 inch rims. Seats were comfortable, acceleration was pretty good. Plenty of space and leg room with the rear seats. Entry and exit is easy and unencumbered. Head room is more than adequate for an average to moderately above average height person. The Ram had by far the nicest interior, not even close really, and nicest ride, not far different than my Lexus GX. Seats were very comfortable. Nice rear seats that reclined, abundant leg room, and plenty of storage with plenty of USB ports, double glove box not present in the Ford. Acceleration was very brisk, smoother engine compared with the Ford Twin Turbo. Center Console appeared the best thought out and useful. The large 12 inch Touch Screen was overkill for me, and I could envision it smeared with finger prints in short order. The large map on navigation was nice though, although the camera views do not use the entire screen. The rear bumper has a fold away step to assist access into the bed, which is helpful, but not as nice as the rear bumper design on the Denali. Nice little in-floor storage in the rear-seat compartment. Clean/Flat rear floor with seat seats raised. The GMC Denali dashboard looks like a remnant from a decade ago, really in dire need of an significant re-design and upgrade in materials. The vehicle really screams OLD School, which may work with a utilitarian vehicle, but not so applicable for what is supposed to be luxury edition. The seats were kind of hard, not nearly as attractive or comfortable as in the Ford or Ram leather. Drive quality was much better than the Ford F-150 Platinum, but not as refined as the Ram. Acceleration with the 5.3 EcoTec3 V8 was underwhelming, while the 6.2L was quite good. I was not able to test drive the 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel. I like that the Duramax Turbo-Diesel produces 460 ft-lbs of torque at 1500 rpm, while the 6.2 L V8 produces 460 lb-ft of torque but not until 4100 rpm. The bed and rear bumper on the GMC was in my opinion superior to both the Ram and Ford, with the corner step-ups built into the bumper, and two part lift gate, with built in step far superior to that available on the Ford. However, I must say that the construction and hinges used on this gait and step appear under engineered rather than over engineered. When one looks at the hinges on my Lexus versus those on the GMC, the GMC makes me worry that it will not hold up long term. I like all the tie-downs in the GMC Denali Bed better than those in the Ford and Ram. Price wise the GMC was significantly lower than the Ram Limited. Ram quoted me a lease price of $952.46/month for 36 months, with $4000 down, GMC Denali was quoted $582 for 39 months with $4000 down for the 5.3L, waiting for the 6.2L quote. I did not bother getting a quote from Ford, as the ride quality was such a turn-off that I could not consider purchasing this vehicle. The Ford seems to be a practical and decently constructed vehicle, but the suspension is not for my likes, clearly a subjective decision. If the prices were a little closer the Ram would be my clear choice, but with such a large discrepancy in cost of $370 /month (that is with the 5.3 L not 6.2L Denali) I don't know if I can rationalize getting the Ram that will driven sparingly. Take the hitch off the GMC, if you want to use that tail gait step feature, not a really big deal.

Chevy's are ugly ass trucks as well, whereas GMCs are a lil nicer but I personally do not like how they look on the outside. Only good looking truck on the outside in my book is the Ford. However, I can admit that Fords can be ugly depending on the grill, and the grill on this Limited Edition Ford in this video is ugly, meaning the truck is ugly. The GMC front end is the nicest imo ‘! And what do you want the interiors to be made of ?!? Plastic is what it is
@b.a.miller93744 жыл бұрын
really 70K for plastic. I tried to justify buying it because the grill is so nice but i cant get pass the cheap looking interior,
@Darkangel-sw9lm4 жыл бұрын
There are lots of different materials other than black plastic. Leather, brushed aluminum, carbon fiber etc.

Darkangel7682 And then “Some” people will complain that it’s too much money for a truck !! We all need to think about it what your saying about something so little .
@Darkangel-sw9lm4 жыл бұрын
This is the Denali though. The competition in the same price bracket have the higher end materials in their interiors. People who buy Denali or limited in ford or dodge aren’t worried about money, they want quality.

Didnt see any compare and contrast of Ram dash dial, GMC coulmn or Ford console shifter
@carlosmunoz2485 жыл бұрын
Column shifter is the best get in and go
@garymeinen36635 жыл бұрын
I have all three. The dial took some getting used to but now I love it. Don't like the GM column shift setup and the Ford console takes up storage space that you get with the dial.
@garymeinen36635 жыл бұрын
@Ryder Forrest Nothing in particular, just my preference to have the gear shifter buttons on the steering wheel instead of on the column. Don't really use them much, just a better layout in general.

Amzing how the GMC was the only one with a hitch on it so you couldn't show the full features of the tale gate. Almost like it was set up for this test !!!
@dlefeb675 жыл бұрын
Most people with Trucks have a hitch installed. I have owned 8 trucks and they all had a hitch installed. Basically the point made was GMC's step design is worthless to a Truck owner. Someone will drop the step down and dent the tailgate on the hitch ball.

I've been driving a pickup truck for 15 years and I don't leave my hitch in
@scuzz3494 жыл бұрын
@@Honda1k yeah but i think the point of that was that the gmc is the only one affected if u have a hitch in because the ram and ford can work properly without the hitch

They clearly did that to show the fact that its the only truck effected by that.

Ford's carrying a big load, my empty coffee cup lmao😂
@jstravelers40945 жыл бұрын
Face it, that's a bigger load than most of these trucks will carry when not hauling groceries. My work truck is full tools and parts. I drive a much more sensible vehicle when I am finished with work for the day. I have to shake my head at people who drive empty pickup trucks around. Driving a truck around on the weekend feels too much like I am on my way to a job. Have to wonder how many pencil pushing pickup drivers would feel the same way.

I have a 2009 Doge Ram Larame 1500 hundred . It’s a great truck but I recently noticed some ticking sounds on the left side of the engine. Have you experienced this on your earlier model trucks ? Great video by the way.
