Miler is great for long and easy runs, you can relax in it and great for recovery,; when having some hip pain it was a relief. It looks somewhat clunky but the weight is no problem when running up to 12 k. p. h. Also very stable when running trail like tracks. And first version is very much on sale.

Yeah it’s just stable and easy

I don't think I will be going with either of these. React and me just don't get on well. I love to race in Nike and us the invincible for easy days, but Saucony and Asics agree better for everyday running.

For me, the Nike React Miler 2 looks better and more comfortable by the shape of the shoe than the Pegasus 38. You can't go wrong when you do the color combinations of bolt green and black/grey. But if you put Pegasus 37 and 36 then yes those will overthrow the React Miler 2. Simplicity is always best when designing anything, Pegasus 38 with its tongue and color choices and upper is what makes me skip this year's model unless they kill it in the design department for the shield version. What's up with the swooshes by Nike as of late? It's a hideous outline of a swoosh, if they are going with that kind of swooshes, I can just pick up any other brand, looks the same really.

Hopefully they do a complete overhaul of the peg

Between the two I choose Winflo 7 (not the 8). Good for repeats/intervals/tempo... I was coming from some non cushion shoes and searching for a compatible Nike counterpart for Waporfly Next %.

My feet always steer towards wider shoes. The Pegasus didn't work for my feet. The Miler 2 did although it's still a tiny bit tight but workable with thin socks. I barely have any laces left after I tighten them up. Wearing a 10.5 the toe area is sufficient just feels like a kids shoe as I have to adjust the laces to maximum. Can't Nike provide more material? Really comfortable to wear and just walk around in though. Will hit the treadmill tomorrow for it's maiden run and see how it fairs.

Im returning my Pegasus 38 😂 it causes pain on my legs. I tried running 13miles no cushioning. Hopefully react miler2 works for me. Because the first react miler is so good.

i like the Pegasus 38 quite a bit and I haven't had any issues from it. I've recently become a huge fan of React, so I'm trying all of the React-based running shoes to compare. I just ordered the Miler 2 from Nike and I'm curious to see how it will compare to the Pegasus and the Invincible Run. The Miler 2 actually reminds me of a mid-end version of the Invincible Run.

Can you tell me how it compares the Miler to the Pegasus 38?
@savethisforlater3 жыл бұрын
Miler is a decent easy run/long distance shoe with a good base (midsole) it's got lots of room in the toe box. The miler feels like a higher heel drop, narrower midsole/outsole. I have the Peg 37 and it's definately narrow. People say the 38 upper is more forgiving/looser in a good way. The peg 37 is the only running shoe to ever annoy the sides of my feet with how tight it is. But, the Peg 37 is comfy, bouncy and looks great, as does the 38. Both have good breathability and overall construction.
@savethisforlater3 жыл бұрын
Correction: the peg feels like it has a higher heel drop...

I'm missing the Epic React Flynit (and the colour update which was called Epic React Flynit 2)...best react shoes ever.... from there, shoes got heavier and the "react" got less bouncy...

I took a bit of a punt on the Miler 2 with my Birthday discount and it’s been a pleasant surprise so far.......very stable and comfortable straight out the box. Not one for Tempo or intervals but definitely has its uses. Would I have paid full price for it though??? Probably not

The Pegasus 38 gives me a sore left heel. It feels like something is pushing through the sole and digging into my heel. Only had them for 6 weeks too!

Raymond Sollars 1 second ago I have a question if you find time to answer: I did an experiment. I have run the same distance in several different shoes. I have found that regardless of weight or purpose of the shoe, my pace which is currently about 11 minutes/mile tops, is the same. I don't forsee at age 64 I will ever be any faster than 10 minutes a mile. Could it be true that when you are a slow runner, the shoe will not help you run any faster? I ask this because I will focus future purchases of running shoes much differently. Hey, if I can run just as fast in a Max Road or a Clifton or even a Bondi, why not enjoy the cushion. I don't need a shoe rotation. What do you think, Fordy?

How breathable is the upper on the React Miler 2? I have the v1 React Milers and I love the way they feel on long runs. However, if the temp outside is even slightly warm, they turn into small ovens. Is the upper on the React Miler 2 any better?

Anybody here got small black dots under/around heel area? Has no pain, sent a photo to my dr and she directly asked if i was running. She said these are small bleedings and I might need more shock absorption. But cant understand it as I run with Novablast and thought this shoe is good enough for that.

Try doing keto diet and drinking activated charcoal for a month. Then put some ozone oil on it inside your socks. Should get rid of it.
