Good points Chris. Pre-pandemic I wasn't happy with my weight. I was making a TON of bad choices. I am largely vegetarian (I eat seafood from time to time) but I was still making choices that I couldn't outrun. I was about the same amount as you as far as being heavier than I wanted. Once the pandemic hit and the restaurants were pretty much closed down, I started to make my own food, went for a 30+ minute walk each day I ditched the sugar (or significantly reduced it) and opted on fruits / nuts for snacks over candy bars. I got to the weight I wanted to. Little changes do take time to pay off, but they do work. You can only outrun a bad diet for so long - as you get older it gets harder to do that. Your video was a reminder to me about this situation. I enjoy your work!

Last spring I could not jog 2 minutes without stopping and being out of breath and hurting all over. I weighed at least 244 pounds on July 1, 2021 at only 5 feet eleven inches height. I had little strength and no fitness. I started exercising at the gym as well as running later on. I adopted intermittent fasting and a low carb diet. By September 30 I weighed 192 pounds and was much stronger with more muscle mass and I could go running every day at least 3 miles and my longest runs were 6 to 8 miles. You can significantly increase your health and fitness in a matter of months. I know that from my own experience.

@@FordyRuns Thank you. You cannot imagine how much better I feel now compared to before I changed my diet and started exercising. Hot Tub plus sauna after runs or gym workouts has also been critically important for me.

@@FordyRuns I credit the On Running Cloudstratus V2 for allowing me to run most days and with no injuries, even when I was very out of shape and overweight. I’ve since moved on to other options, but the Cloudstratus kept me injury free for many months during my lowest point.

thank you for the encouragement… I have been trying to lose another 10-15 pounds after losing around 30, a few years back. All that was just based on portion sizes, and a touch more actively.. but trying to get that much more now, to see if I can get faster too. keep it going

Congratulations Chris on a great result. Fab video. Keep it up. Definitely prefer eating a main meal at lunch making better choices when it comes to food. Will you have pancakes on Tuesday?

My suggestions would be: fasted cardio so that you burn more fat than glycogen, running on an incline, sprint jog sprint, a sauna vest or chance upon some T3 or any combination of these.....

Inspiring video! My goal is also 1 stone/6 kgs. I try to eat more plant based. I have never drank much, but I have also quit alcohol for one month now. The goal is one year. 👍

Thanks to running, i have lose more than 45 kgs since 2020 when i start running regularly. With running i can reduce my carve of sugar, suppress my hunger more easily than just diet.

I lost around 40lbs a year ago but gained about 15 back… it’s an ongoing battle but still hoping to get back to my marathon training weight from 8 years ago… maybe training for my first marathon this spring will help

I lost 20 lbs from November 6 to January 31. Running 50 miles a week does not help much. The body adapts to excessive exercise. Low carbohydrate and high fat diet with intermittent fasting has caused my body to burn fat as fuel. Often I only eat one meal a day while running 90 minutes to 2 hours a day. Plenty of energy running MAF heart rate. Not hungry at all. The weight just comes off. My times are getting better. Taking in 20 to 30 carbs a day tops.

Awesome video Chris! Congratulations on such a great result. You LOOK better, but glad to hear you feel better, which is more important. Question, Did you give up beer? That’s my weakness. I eat very healthy but drink most nights 🤦🏻

Diet is far more important than so- called calorie deficit.....reducing carbs and cutting out sugar completely will get results.....and yes drink less water....the less carbs u eat the less water u need too....I think it's a misconception that u need to consume so much carbs for endurance sports
