We need to lift a heavy oak dresser from a basement, up a flight of steps, then outside to a rented truck. Would these work for that, for going up steps, or would it be difficult?

I would completely move everything out of the dresser, drawers, and everything that can come off and then yes I would use these

Have you tried using the shoulder or body version of these straps?

No sir

The product is great, these guys just don't know how to use it though. It's meant to be used criss crossed for leverage as well as grip, but the way they're using it just provides grip.

I thought so! Thank you. I was thinking, "am I remembering this wrong or are they suppose to criss cross"

I'm trying to see how to use these straps... and the way shown here is using your back muscles and not your legs. Besides the sideways stability issues, I think this 'technique' is just all wrong...

I'll just buy a dolly and save the 4 bones in my forearms

Things suck. Shoulder ones are way better

Exactly. These are a joke, esp compared to the other ones. Ive seen too many people blow thier shoulders out with these and most people dont criss cross them for stability.

Now try stairs and doing this all day. You'll wish you'd done it like a pro with a hand truck. You are lifting 100% of the weight at all times lol.
