And my reply to your comment is, no that's not the genuine Philippines at all, the genuine parts of Metro Manila for sure, and maybe some other major cities in Ph. or other major populous cities in the world. The genuine Philippines is that kindness, caring, and helpful to new comers or new faces, as you see here, especially foreigners who are obviously not even from this country and maybe unfamiliar with the local culture. There is this almost automatic curiousity and/or real concern hence followed by wanting to converse and/or be of a little help for you. But of course, NOT EVERYBODY. That's the very first thing that comes in mind for me, and I used to think that maybe most if not all countries think that way too, but,again, NOT EVERYBODY. Filipinos used to think how odd when foreigners are surprised on how they are treated, until they've gone and found out that other countries have different attitudes towards foreigners. But still and I hope that this one Filipino culture of ours wll remain the same as always.

All incoming flights that may have originated or layed over from a Chinese country, i.e., Hongkong, China, Macau, Taiwan, the passengers are required to go through a 14 day quarantine or may be refused to land.

When this video popped up on my timeline I told myself oh here’s another random video from a foreigner who’s content is about the Philippines so out of curiosity I clicked the video thinking just to watch like a few seconds of it but I was amazed, surprised the purity and the sincerity of this video. This is absolutely inspiring. You are a trooper, Marshall! You're the type of guy who should travel the world because you appreciate everything. You don't judge. You remind me of Drew Binsky who is only 5 countries away from being able to see all 196 countries in the workd. You are the total opposite of Lost Leblanc who sometimes feels entitled when visiting other countries disrespecting other people's ways. Very touching experience. I had my share too of working in the slums of Manila, working with street children, inmates in jail and many more. My wife and I had our prime years working with the poor. It was a very meaningful and unforgetable 10 years with the least fortunate people...I shed tears viewing your vlog...The Lord bless you, man!!!

And that is what we call a real life immersion. When you said goodbye to the natives, they said “ingat” which means “take care”. That only means they like you. When you are good to the locals, they will surely show you more of the respect and hospitality. They will not harm you or do something bad to you. Just be good to the people when you go to a foreign land especially when you go to Asia as a whole and not only in the Philippines. But of course, Filipinos are much hospitable to good visitors like you.

There is always homeless people in every part of the world, that is the reality, even in USA. Also, most of the houses shown on this videos are shanties or illegal settlement that is why there is no flush in the toilet. No offense but normally strangers doesnt just get invited to homes of well to do for fear of being taken advantage of. Mostly poor family is more accepting or welcoming to strangers because they got nothing to lose and they know how to be in need.
