What a beautiful home. A wonderfully tasteful renovation that retains many of the original components of the home without sending everything to the dump.

Just a curiosity. I have a homegym and do deadlifts. Are the ground floors in most japanese houses able to support 200+kg drops? Or are they mostly flooring on suspended wooden beams?

Congratulations! I live in Minami-ku, we want to buy in the area so our daughter doesn't have to switch schools. There are quite a few akiya in the area, unfortunately we don't speak well enough to do the ground work ourselves.

How Much???

So for the $17,000 USD "renovation" portion of the total cost he basically got a regular commercial clean and new vinyl sheet flooring throughout? I don't think i noticed any new interior painting. Whoever that company was is a bit average as far as renovations go. A toilet doorknob without any screws, they moved the kitchen ceiling light maybe(??), some bathroom floor tiles, tatami room basic fixes (rice paper, tatami mats, sliding door print material) was about all i noticed. For that price i would have expected new appliances, new light switches, power points, light fittings and door knobs throughout, insulation, and a full interior paint or wallpaper.

Looks more like a deep cleaning and new flooring not so much a "renovation"

Yeah clearly no renovation at all here.

Wondering what they charged for the renovation

If you spend a lot of money on renovations and the rent is only $1,000, years to get profits thinking about money you already put.
@mariomolnar31846 ай бұрын
@@mocochan Sure, but you have a more valuable asset (and from what I see, renovated houses go for way more extra than unrenovated, in Japan). Plus you can ask for more rent to cover your expenses a bit quicker and potentially attract more successful tenants

Recent rise in crime for these cheap houses in rural areas. Vietnamese criminals have been ransacking these houses and even tieing up elderly residents. It's not safe to buy rural houses in japan.
