Love seeing a NK documentary that doesn't feature unnecessary commentary. Even if the films are just in the wealthy part, it's nice for the viewer to reach his or her own conclusions instead of having an opinion being forced down their throat.

Well, there are few American soldiers who changed the side while staying at DMZ. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Joseph_Dresnok Swiss Businessman Felix Abt was allowed to travel around North Korea. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_Abt I believe there are few other people. Huh. You wouldn't know this is in North Korea except for the fact that it's stated it is. Not claiming any lies whatsoever, just pointing out an observation. I'm sure the overwhelming majority of people, as in ethnic North Koreans, are not evil people. Just like we have been raised to not like them, they have been raised to not like us. We are all people in the end though.

@@jedrzejbiaokryty1925 While true, your answer omits what is more important. Usa has agressed NK for decades with their embargo and unipolar actions. Poland is a vassal country to Usa. Korea is protecting itself and its country since it's clear that Usa interferes with sovereign nations and foments political coups. There is a long list of that : Venezuela, Guatemala, Vietnam, Irak, Syria, Afghanistan, Ukraine.

Why does a so called authoritarian state allow people to park their cars on the footpath? I want to see rules that are enforced for the benefit of citizens and severe punishments against the selfish.

That's a terrible assumption to make based off of a few videos. In terms of foreign affairs, China currently considers North Korea a nuisance and is actively involved in the illegal trafficking of female sex slaves from North Korea. South Korea at this point gives them more sympathy despite being their main enemy. This is thanks to shows like "Now on my way to meet you" and others. In terms of local affairs, the UN has repeatedly returned reports of human rights violations that seem medieval and unusual in the modern world. On the show I mentioned previously, they even talk about how the common folk living in small cities are expected to work the land and not allowed small liberties, while the rich elite in Pyongyang live lives of luxury in comparison. To say one aspect of North Korea is modern and clean is avoiding a healthy chunk of the country that isn't. It'd be like saying: "Look at how free and wealthy America is!" while ignoring the existence of the 1%, essentially Kings in a Kingless country.

Wafflerofl in term of cleanliness, i believe the rural area probably as clean as their suburb. also,, I think they got some sort of liberties, such as choosing their spouse, how many kids they can have. My assumption of what they lack of is mostly information, and political aspect. Information is also what we lack of them, since the central government are very much aware, what is the most important in modern life.
