Idli should be eaten with Sambar and Chutney. I prefer Dosa over Idli but, if the Chutney and Sambar is prepared well then I couldn't stop eating until there's nothing left. My favourite kind of chutney is "Kara Chutney" which is made of Onions and tomato... Everytime I travel down south that is a staple for me...

Idli was looking like a rock you can go and smash it in the window then see it will break. In reality idli is supposed to melt in your mouth without chewing it you can’t even get that kind of idly in north of India.

Idli I don’t eat much... but when I’m sick I eat only idli🤣

Idli is steamed food other ones are oily, not preferable for breakfast. (You cant compare a snack with breakfast) Idli can be consumed by people from age 5 to 100 Idli can be eaten by a healthy one and even a sick one. Idli never gets wasted, If its leftover within 12hrs you can convert to Idli upma. Idli with Sambar and coconut chutney is the right sauces or maybe add Groundnut chutney, mint chutney, onion chutney, idli podi etc can compliment Idli more.
