it always breaks my heart to think about everything not only the victim had to endure but what their loved ones went through from them going missing to finding their body to finding their killer. crimes like this crush so many people, it’s just horrific that people like these killers exist and can so easily ruin the lives of many even while killing only one person. i really hope her father (and any others with a murdered loved one) can find some semblance of peace and comfort in the future

How many times has someone found out their husband or brother or cousin or close friend is actually a serial rapist or serial killer etc...& they never knew. Or what about the guys who are shocked to get informed by detectives that their girlfriend or wife put a hit out on them & the g/f or wife is on video hiring what they thought was a hitman but unfortunately for them it was an undercover detective. If that guy hadn't fished around in his roomie's trash and found what he did when he did, it probably would have all gone away for years or decades. Still, guys like Sanchez are compulsive and not all that bright. He would have continued on, got caught, and if he'd kept the truck the forensics from that probably would have connected him to her murder. What the roommate did was eliminate any other possible outcomes and saved potential future victims with a phonecall.

That feeling when you're a parent and you can't find your child. You are hoping that she/he may be alive or her/his body will be found. But then when you finally found her/his body and discovered all the things she/he encountered before she/he died that is very devastating. I cannot handle that kind of pain. It's like an every waking moment to sleep kind of pain that can't be stopped by just putting those criminals in bars, by crying. It doesn't really make things bearable and easier

I was living in Simi Valley when this happened. I know where Megan's body was found. The added horror is that, one of those young women was a friend's 16 year old daughter. She got off work from Burger King at midnight and was never seen again.

Imagine yourself driving down the highway, when someone out of nowhere sideswipes you before opening fire with an assault rifle. Alongside trying to escape, you're probably wondering what you did to deserve this. You and your family don't have any enemies, nor have you gotten in any altercations that would result to escalating violence. Megan probably died without knowing Sanchez just decided to take his anger out her because she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's a horrifying truth that bad things happening to nice people.

And by season 13 Peter was a young 85 years old. You'd never know it as his voice hadn't changed much in the 15 years the series ran.
