I was travelling with a couple of buddies and we had to share a hotel room. Both those guys snored so loud, I could feel the reverberations in my chest. I just needed a few minutes to take me back to sitting next to the run off creek next to the house I grew up in that ran when it rained. The smell of damp earth and leaves, the air still cool with rain before the sun turned the dampness to sweltering humidity. The many shades of green from moss and leaves. I’m far from home, in a steel ship and a dockyard of dust and rust but I’ll go back some day.

Thanks!Recently several new night noises (new tenants with fans, new hyuge HVAC/exhaust in cannabis disp nearby)... in a previously silent bedroom. This vid on loop is just the perfect antidote/ medicine. I'm still wearing silicone earplugs 😕 but what i *do hear thru is running water... (although sometimes earbuds + this are enuf! )This one has many deep & subtle resonances and if it loops/ repeats itself, I'm not hearing that. It's as close to Beloved Real World as i have found. Gratitude.

WOW. Just WOW. This is one of the best things I've ever discovered on the internet. The sounds combined with the artwork, simply amazing. Only one thing I'd change is keep the birds from the first couple minutes through the whole thing. I mean not like constantly, but just several times a minute, like at the beginning.
@intense_relaxing2 жыл бұрын
No offense, but don't do this. All the other ones are ridden with bird-calls. Some put in crow. One reason this is so good is bc those background noises are either on a long loop, or very well dispersed throughout. I don't mean to step on your comment, it's just those bird sounds have ruined so many other nice ambient peices for me.

I have horrible insomnia, and I have literally tried everything from medication to relax me and make me feel calm, to regular sound machines. Nothing has ever seemed to work. Then I came across this.....and it is literally magic!!! I always put this on before bed, when I'm reading or drawing. And this calms me down so quick and makes me go to sleep faster. I have tried to find other ones. None with lightening or thunder, or bright screens, but this is the ONLY one that seriously works for me. I am hospitalized almost every year for my asthma and allergies, and I ALWAYS bring my laptop and phone with me, so I can have this playing wherever I go that I'm sleeping. This has literally been a lifesaver and told other friends about it. A couple of them have integrated this into their kids' nightly routine. This is my absolute favorite!!! Thank you for sharing this!!!!

Using this to write my book, and holy cow, I'm never going back. Something about the river noises just blocks everything out, and it comes to a point that it's just a really pleasant white noise, which is what I've been searching for. Real white noise is just blaring, instrumental music is just too distracting (three cheers for the music nerd), but this is perfect.

Wouldn't it be so amazing to live in a creek? It would feel so cozy to just curl up by the riverbank, and watch the water rush by or read a book while listening to the sound of fresh, cool water. It would be so remote and protected at the same time. I would love to live by a peaceful little creek, but all I got is dirt and heat, cuz I live in a cruddy valley/desert with a lotta dirt, and heat all year long. Yeah, I'm pretty much a desert rat. It would be so cool though to live in a place like that where you can feel the cool breeze night and day... I can only dream of laying down in the moist grass, next to the river, at staring up at the translucent water illuminated by the moonlight... Oh well....
