Forest Whitaker thoroughly deserved the Oscar for his portrayal of Amin, it was an incredible performance.

Saw this in the theater, and we were silent for about five minute afterward. Other than Daniel Day Lewis in There will be Blood, Forest Whitaker’s portrayal of Idi Amin is my favorite of the 2000’s.
