It still is conjugate if you rotate movement after 3-4weeks

@ Movement Rotation gets done with ME work. 3x3-5 is not really Max Effort but Sub Max . And the idea presented in this Video is not to rotate the movement after three weeks but to ramp the RPE up or change reps per set. Not that I feel that the Method here presented is wrong or bad…I just asked, if he is not training conjugate anymore (and I am refering to his Conjugate Style Program, which I know, because I bought it).
@EnkiriElite13 күн бұрын
I am still training Conjugate myself. But there is more than one way to skin a cat, and I utilize multiple different training styles with clients. Plus, as the other posted noted, there is essentially a "Conjugate" variation of this concept presented in the video. This is a larger concept video. Not a concrete programming video.

I recommend everybody here to check out starting strength

This program sounds too heavy for me personally (I like 6-8 rep sets) but sounds like it would definitely work for performance and strength gains. Your upper back development is insane. This isn't really a programming video but there's some interesting and unusual exercises here, haven't seen the dumbell decline situp before, and those weighted deficit pushups look like an absolute destroyer. Looks like a tough position to get out of if you go to failure though, I want to see the clip of the end of the set!

You can use the exact same methodology presented here for higher reps. I highlight this caveat towards the end of the video.

How many days a week would you train this same exercise? Is it one top set of 5? And can you run two different movements at the same time eg squat on Monday and Thursday and bench on Tuesday and Friday?
@EnkiriElite11 күн бұрын
All depends. For general training purposes it would train ot 1x per week with something similar but different later in the week. For greater specificity I would train it 2x per week

Do you have the opinion of you should be able to do 20 to 30 body weight dips before adding weight?
@EnkiriElite9 күн бұрын
I think 10 is plenty

do you mean e.g. 5x5 at a big movement for 3 weeks, then 4x4 for 3 weeks and then 3x3?
@SeymourNuts15 күн бұрын
sounds like just ramping to a top set - hopefully he can correct me if I’m wrong. most likely getting 2-4 working sets in total a week.
@beastyjnr524415 күн бұрын
Comparing to a majority of what ive seen of his programming, he's propably refering to doing a 5x5, then 5x4 then again 5x3. Keeping the sets static but changing the reps

Based on the protocol he mentioned and his recent conjugate influenced training, it seems like he meant working up to a singular top set and then getting volume from secondaries and accessories later in the workout

i will buy a program at this point to understand it. i am just too dumb!!!

@@vdlc5156 and e.g. u do a top set of 5 OHP. after that 3 backoff-sets with OHP?? at 70% or sth?

What is your opinion about Turkish and sandbag get ups?

I think they're cool. But I don't really do them or program them.

Do leg extensions have any carryover to athleticism or are they strictly for hypertrophy?
@EnkiriElite11 күн бұрын
They're not going to do much for athleticism

Insane yoke gains dude. I know you do a lot of high pulls, but I get nothing out of them. I became so proficient at one point at the snatch hang high pull I did more than I could rdl. It just felt like a kettlebell swing working posterior chain even though I made a point of touching my neck with the bar. What else do you do for traps?
@googlefaps588314 күн бұрын
WTF. What’s ur RDL and snatch high pull. R u telling me without even dipping u can bring the bar to ur neck?

Are u not going to bulk your body? I mean increase muscle mass and weight? Or you only focus on maintain bodyweight while increasing strength and power for now?

I was 115lbs when I started lifting. Now I am 170-175 at 5'6. My BMI is almost 28. I dont want to be any heavier than I am.

Only problem is if you dont rotate exercises you need to deload more even if you kinda go down reprange in linear fashion
@EnkiriElite13 күн бұрын
Yes, that's true. but for less advanced trainees I typically prefer less exercise variation regardless. Although, the majority of my custom programs that I write these days still probably use far more variation than most people are accustomed to.

Just having a general framework to follow for the long run goes a long way! I don't get overly bogged down in specifics. But you should always have the framework of a plan, and then you can fill in the gaps from there as you need to.
