As a child of 9 I watched as my eldest brother Doug leave our father's house to head back to Nova Scotia. He was a Fifth Team Diver. I was 10 .nobody was home so he stopped to talk to me on the street. While deep in thought and heavy mind he told me to be good, don't give dad a hard time and don't be in a hurry to grow up. I wish I could keep you forever young. It heavily impacted me. When I heard this as a45 year old woman I know my dearly departed brother has his arm resting on my waist as we sway together. Thank you for such a an amazing memory trigger. It allows my soul able to visit with his even if for a few minutes. XoXo RIP Dougie FOREVER HONOURED AND PROUD TO CALL YOU MY BROTHER

I've been riding bikes since I was 8 years old back in 1966. I remember my pops driving us over to my grandma's for Sunday dinner and seeing a line of denim cut riders rollin by and I knew at that moment I was gonna be a biker. Yeah, I am old skool always in my leathers and I wouldn't change a thing. I road to Sturgis on a Softtail Breakout at 59 years old...no fairing, no windshield. 1,900+ miles from upstate New York paying homage to the brothers riding nomad I saw when I was a kid. At 62 this August I know that I have far less rides ahead of me than behind, but I'll keep rollin until I can't throw my leg over that saddle anymore. Ride far, ride often shiny side up my brothers and sisters. I'll be waiting for you all on the highways in heaven. 👊🏍😎

51 year old Scotsman here, I only got my bike licence 5 years ago but had bikes when I was a kid. The wife and I did a 5 day road trip around Scotland in the car, 1 year later I did it on the bike. Besides seeing my kids being born, I'd never felt so alive as when I was on my bike, ride safe everybody and hopefully we'll meet one day on the rode.

What a powerful song. When you are young, you never realize how fleeting life really is. As you get older, the reality of it all smacks you right in the face... all those relatives and friends that you thought would be around forever slowly start succumbing to mortality and often we are left asking: where did all that time go? Hopefully, you come to understand how precious life truly is. Enjoy it, savor it... for your time here is limited. Stay forever young.

Paul Barton you know one really cool thing about this song? back in the day about 15-20 years ago every time you bought a new Harley Davidson you got a VHS tape and it was called "Welcome to the family 'and this was like the Harley-Davidson prayer that just makes it double cool right? I love Sons of Anarchy ,I had had a major hip surgery and I was bedridden for 4 months and that's what got me through the time alright man keep 2 on the road & live to ride??

So very true TickleBiscuit. Life is so precious and when you get to a certain age 40s and more you are mindful of how quickly the years have gone by and that each and every day and year that you are still here on earth is a blessing in itself. Your heart becomes more mellow and you become aware of that spiritual beckoning that seems to whisper to you and you feel as if you have one foot in this world and the other foot in the other world that is to come. To be alive is so wonderful and can also be so painful. Music and song are so powerful this is one of my favourite songs. It's a beautiful reminder of youth and those days when we were free, innocent gangly and happy with no responsibilities and the world was your oyster. Do only good things and give kindness and love to all while you can . Only then as another song, I know states 'Our Living will not be in vain'. Shalom x

Lost my son Aaron Ledford 13 yrs ago to a drunk driver. His 38th birthday will be May 31st. Heard this song tonight and cried uncontrollably. I was always there when he was growing up, solving all his problems but when he needed me the most, laying there on that intensive care table, there was nothing I could do. He was without a doubt the best thing I've done in this life. I have always been a proud father. I never in my life imagined I would bury him. Living now, trying to move forward, trying to adjust to the new normal is a burden I would not wish on anyone.

I know how you feel friend. My son lost his life when a young 18-year-old pulled out in front of him while he was riding his bike. He was 38. He left behind a wife and a 3-year-old daughter.
