Hey mate, thanks for another great video. I only noticed when I read your comment and compared the audio to your other videos. This video sounds like your audio may have been rendered at a lower bitrate. If you ever want help with your audio let me know. One tip, perhaps you could try a pop filter over your mic and moving away from your mic a little bit to reduce those bassy pops like when you say 'points' at 12:27. Overall though awesome quality content and no complaints. I'm really grateful for your work and so glad you decided to help traders cut through the sea of bullshit out there :)

I started studying your videos on Jan. 1 2019....10 days ago. I have a very small account $2,137.. I dipped down below that to about $2,078.00 while holding the GBP/JPY trade. Now I am back up to $2,132.84. Trading .01 lot size. You are so right, one must internalize all the video information and bring that all together to make appropriate decisions about entries, exits and management. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning this information. I'll be 75 yrs old in a couple of weeks and pleased with my success so far. Many thanks!

Wrapping up my first set of live trades this week and let me just say, that this is the way, the truth and the light. SIMPLY switching to the daily chart has been a game changer. Using the ATR for SL and 1st TP; game changer. The idea of catching on to trends for as long as possible instead of "20 pips and dip"-type b.s. GAME CHANGER. I'm not looking at charts all damn day. Im not stressed out. I'm sure that my algorithmn is sub par, but I'm also sure that a sub par algo with decent indicators far outweighs the life stealing stress of a f@#%ing hourly chart with Fibonacci levels or other junk. Total transformation. It's insane. I have studied my ass off, did time in IML, read several books, etc.... but this FREE channel and blog has been the awakening for me. And others. Look around. I seriously feel sorry for anyone still believing the lies that they sellin ya. Disclaimer: I'm not associated with No Nonsense Forex or VP in anyway. Never met the cat. I believe ALL traditional technical analysis is a load of crap. I let it confuse the shit out of me for a year and then I gave it the boot. Multiple timeframes? Trend anchors? Candlestick patterns? Really??? It's like people think the market is this living creature that is set in its ways and you can predict what it's going to do because of some arbitrary line or pattern on a chart. There's only one thing that makes the big banks do their "real" business (trading their own money, not their clients' money)........is the price cheap or expensive? If it's cheap they buy, if it's expensive they sell it. Game over.

By far the best thing this guy does is pushes you into thinking outside the box. In 4 years of trading off and on I have only lost money. For the past 4-5 months, ironically about the same time I started listening to this channel, I've been up, and up a pretty good amount of pips at that. He's not "right" about everything, but that's because there is no "right' that will work for everyone. Remember these traders selling you trading education know something you don't, people with lots of money have diverse forms of income, trading, selling trading signals, selling trading education, and so on. Most of them push their education because its a more stable income, where as trading is not.

I get your argument but to be honest forex can be super complicated with all technicals and fundamentals or it could be very easy using naked price action. I’m not saying 1H or 4h trend lines work but significant levels of price action that’s very solid and price respects it. They work for the most part. People I know make hundreds of thousands using price action. I myself make great returns using only naked forex no indicators no bs. I also disagree with flipping a coin. Everytime you open a trade in forex you’re risking your money. Forex is all about probability, and buying and selling on significant levels of price can bring probability is your favour a lot and not to mention risk management as well. I noticed 4 hours 1h 30 minutes trend lines tend to break the most. Daily and weekly trend lines work great (for the most part) if you know how to pin point significant levels.
@Chris-sl6zj6 жыл бұрын
That is because millions of traders have been taught trend lines, SR lines/zones, and channels, and all the other dirty dozen tools. Same garbage taught by most brokers and guru's. Big banks know this and eat their lunch, but not always, as they have to allow some wins to keep people in the game which is the "work for the most part" mentioned in your comment. Flip the coin, you will have better odds or stick with VP and change your life. Everything involves probability, but why not put probability on your side and not theirs. You can't see it until you have done at least a year of relentless no-nonsense trading and on top of that, you have to stick to the plan without wavering. Good luck either way! VP, thanks again for another awesome vid! Up 56 pips on the EUR/GBP as we speak. Glad I didn't use that trend line. :)
@camrenac35526 жыл бұрын
Chris like i could also tell you how many times I tried ignoring the solid trend line and it reversed like magic :) like I said above no trends likes are garunteed but I can show you countless times where daily and weekly trend lines got respected like magic . People make hundreds of pips using price action. Idk about you but instead of wasting away additional years and trying “1000” of other indicators which let me tell you are also 99% garbage . I’d rather stick to solid price action and strong trends and go with the wave. Having said that money management is huge when it comes to trading. To close off, there are millions ways to trade but to tell one’s way of trading is garbage is absurd. Some scalpers make thousands per day and some swing traders make thousands to each their own. A bad workman will always blames his tools, most people lose not because they’re following “trend lines” most people lose money for many reasons, risk management, emotions, not being disciplined.

1. Google and KZbin search: Renko charts or Renko trading strategy. 2. Do not get lured into paying hundreds or thousands of $’s on courses or indicators. Theirs is enough free information out there on google and youtube that is the same or better than most of those expensive courses. 3. After days, weeks, months or years of researching and (siphoning through the bullshit) out there, find the Renko strategy that suits you. E.g what renko time frame to trade on or what market suits you best as a trader. For me personally its FX. 4. Study study and study more on your renko strategy until your happy and confidant that it’s not a marketing scam. 5. (Manually) back test your renko stratergy on a demo account until your happy it works and its profitable. 6. When your confident in your renko trading strategy and have been successful on demo trading go live. Believe me studying and using Renko charts will be the best thing you ever do in trading. Never buy into and sort of course, indicators, signal groups its all marketing money making (BS). I have probably have over $70,000 in courses, which I will happly give away. Great video as always, VP. I don’t use trend lines as a main stay, I usually use them in conjunction with fractals, and my personal set of indicators, and I simply draw them out from the fractal points; the lines are less interpretative while utilising fractal points, in my personal opinion. Helps in determining possible highs and lows or possible support and resistance levels. That’s it but apart from that, it should never be used as entry criteria by any means, as many foolishly use it as!

Been on this channel awhile and I have to admit, it got me a lot better.. At least for the past 3 - 4 months been nothing but profitable CONSISTENTLY. Not really much on the strategy etc but really on my trading psychology; and also every single trade I take is very systematic and has a reason behind it. Like many out there, I used to use all the standard TA like support resistance etc and lost badly. Then I tried price action and maybe I'm just really not good at seeing patterns etc, also lost badly in the end. Then I realized that almost all of it was just guess work. How would u know this engulfing candle is true? How would you know if this support or resistance will hold or break out? How would u know if its a false break or real break? A good strategy is one that makes sense in every single aspect of your trade; be in position size, risk, entry and exit. It has to be systematic to a point that you can even do it half awake. But what really helped me was ATR and risk management. Essentially you'll never make it in fx trading in the long run if you don't have proper risk management. It's really all a number game. Its all about probability and statistics. Base on VP's recommendation, ATR x 1.5 for SL and 1 for TP . Put 2 positions in 1 without TP. The way I take this is.. market is random. Its a 50 - 50 game. Therefore with a 1.5SL : 1TP ration, essentially your winning % is approximately 66%.. but also understand 1x SL = 4x TP. Use some indicators or whatsoever strategy you've formulate to just up the percentage by even 1 .. you'll be profitable in the long run. With a 66% and above hit rate, it helps your psychology a lot. At the end of the day, its really not those small 1ATR TP that is gonna make you money. Its your 2nd position in the trade that runs and runs for days weeks and months. Those are the ones that are gonna earn you big bucks. And if you're able to have a strategy that gives u a slight edge of 1% or more in the market, you're in the 10% winning retail traders. If you think about it why people say those who go to casino's are gamblers .. while the casino is running a business. The casino has an edge against their customers.. even blackjack with the highest percentage of gmablers winning.. the casino still has a 1% edge against them. With proper risk management by casinos, the numbers dictates them to be profitable. Thats why there a limits at tables.. it's their risk management. They'll never take a bet that is too big and they have deep pockets. So it really puzzles me how traders take huge position size, risking 10% or more of their portfolio. Some traders don't put SL .. me on the other hand don't put TP.

There are two ways to look at a support and resistance line or a diagonal trend line: You can look at an S/R line as being a either a WALL or a TRIPWIRE. The wall idea is stupid because the banks and the rest of the market could care less about some line on your chart and that line is not going to get any respect because it doesn't represent anything concrete. The tripwire idea of an S/R line goes no further than to suggest a possible change in existing market sentiment about the value range of an instrument by alerting you that the line has been crossed. A tripwire doesn't predict anything, but it does tell you to wake up and pay attention to a possible change in direction or momentum.
@NoNonsenseForex5 жыл бұрын

One of the most frustrating aspects of watching online gurus is that they will 'present' a trading concept and then produce cherry picked charts as 'evidence' for that concept, which is the number one cause for computer monitors to be kicked off their stands in the USA right now.

You all are missing the point. What my trading brother is doing here is dispelling the idea that anything "works all the time / is magic." Trend lines, when drawn correctly, EARLY & NOT re-positioned, work well especially when drawn as channels. However, if you'll notice, each time price touches a line, it's at a point of structure. Same applies to moving avgs (esp the 20 or 21) as well as of course, actual structure lines. Stop trying to chew up a guy who has traded 15X longer than you or I simply because you think you've found "the holy grail". 'Taint one. If there were, the markets would end immediately. Institutions NEED retail traders to be wrong. Stop & think on that as you buy that next $97 bot. Jordan in NC

After i had finished watching the trendlines video the logic behind what you do became less vague. I recall when i began to demo trade and trendlines intrigued me the most because of how "simple" and "efficient" it seemed, for over a month i kept trying to make use of it like the "gurus" and boy! did it frustrate the hell outta me; when the candle sticks approach the lines i'm pumped with emotions whilst looking at price action to confirm a set up, it felt more like a guessing because most times price will do the opposite of that system. I hated indicators because everyone talked bad about it but it is much easier to learn how to create an "inconsistent" system that will run the same process everytime and since we know who controls the price nad having learnt how to follow the big banks ie (trend traders) we will very likely be profitable on the long run with very good money management.

I know a guy that he's been using trend lines for 3 years. He's been making consistent profit. He's been calling his trades for free for the last 2 years. Maybe you don't know how to use trend lines.

Great information and insight...knowing the basis of Forex and how the system works...ie, us vs banks...this should help prevent us from looking for patterns at all...because they are irrellevant.

Hey throwing out a guess for one of the missing parts in the algorithm. At this point in time I am only aware of 4 components. So I've been doing some thinking, and it dawned on me. What use is our algorithm, if it coincides with the 99%? I'm thinking that if our strategy is coincidentally in tandem with the 99%, we simply do not trade. How do we determine if our trade is the 99%? Well, you got me there. Truth be told, I have yet to begin trading, I'm still a sponge.

Another way you can tell that first Trend Line graph is BS is because it is becoming incrementally smaller by the denominations of 20 as you increase. In other words, the graph has been "warped" to make it appear that price is fitting between those Trend Lines. Conclusion: Trend Lines = BS.

Love all of NNF's videos, and find them balanced and insightful. This is the only one I've seen that I disagree with. Trend lines in my experience are incredible. I don't use them for prediction, but for an alert that something is changing. Maybe it's a matter of how you draw and use them, but taken with a grain of salt, I find them extremely accurate, useful, and generally a good signal.

I am not trying to pick a fight, but often I watch how the majority of your videos tell others what NOT to do. When do you tell others What to do? Nevertheless, how do those of us failing at Forex "do better"? Also, why is it the "Forex" trendlines are a bad idea? The dude at Online Trading Academy Dan Sugar, teaches many to trade the TLB (trendline breaks) all the time. My other question is related to trendlines. What about triangle breakouts? Are they not based upon 2 lines? Signed, confused

I think trend lines are usefull. Not to place your trades but to pay atention to a specific moment in time and to confirm the trend indicators, like SMA's. To place trades, simply use oscilators (MACD, Stochastic, etc). Look for divergence or sell signals but ALWAYS at those moments you are looking at and in the direction of the main trend. Last but not least... ALWAYS LOOK LEFT. See if there is any previous levels of resistance or support at that moment. But if you are sucessfull using no trend indicator or following those rules, just continue with that strategy.

Knowing a guy that has a friend that was the chief Trader for a big bank in the city of London, I disagree with you all the big players use Trend lines to identify areas of probability, It's about phycology so if the majority of people use trend lines then it's likely there will be a lot of buy/sell pressure around them areas. so horizontal and diagonal support and resistance is paramount to trading.. what you do at these areas and how you decide to play the trade or exit the trade is another story completely. but to say don't use them in my opinion is bad advice.

there is an indicator that automatically draws trend lines for you and re-adjust to a curve if there is a reversal about to happen or range bound. make sure to adjust the periods. it is called the Polynomial regression channels.

Hey Willem. The algo I currently have is : 1. ATR 2. ? 3. Confirmation indicator(s) *25 period EMA HLC/3 setting *Parabolic Sar 0.02, 0.2 setting *Weekly and Daily MACD by Vitaly Apirine set at (45, 115, 9, 23) Enter if EMA breaks above or below price, Weekly/Daily crosses and Parabolic Sar dot is on the same side as the EMA line. 4. ? 5. Volume/Volatility - TTM Sqeeze indicator...only trade if signal dot is green. 6. Exit Indicator - Parabolic Sar Get out of trade if dot moves to the opposite side of trend direction you are trading. Believe me...This combo will likely change with time...but it's better than what I used to do! Good luck
