It's true, but it's so much cooler to say you made something than you bought something.

Long time back I tried to make a mini cross pein hammer out of a ball pein hammer to use on smaller projects. Somewhere along the line I messed up with either thermal cycling or in the heat treat and when I went to put in on the handle it broke into about 5 pieces. You have another winner there, very cool.

I’m sorry to hear about that! I’ve had a few tools break on me in my experience and it’s always way frustrating. Thanks though, I am happy with how this one turned out!

@@ToddKoch If we never failed we would never learn. Seems to me I have an old claw hammer somewhere in the garage. Might have to try this one myself.

Very true! I’d encourage trying this one, it’s a super fun project and very customizable!

Nice job. I wonder if you could make something else with the claw side? Maybe a pick or a smaller axe blade?

Not bad brother good job keep it up. I wounder if you should do a tutorial on a bunch of easy projects on say hooks and hangers as well just a thought. Or anything really I just love seeing people shape and form steel take a piece of nothing and make somthing of it.
@ToddKoch2 жыл бұрын
I would be happy to do that! I made one or two basic hook videos a little ago, but they were rushed because I was running low on time those weeks. I’d be happy to make a longer video on those sometime!

@@ToddKoch do you sell your work? And if so do you do so online as well?
@ToddKoch2 жыл бұрын
I’ve been feeling out sales for a while now and I’ve been planning to release an online shop space of some sort in the near future, I will be sure to announce it on the channel when I do!

How long did it take you to make? Looks like a lot if work.
@ToddKoch2 жыл бұрын
It was about 4-5 hours of forging and then for the finish work on the head it was probably about 1-2 hrs. Luckily I didn’t have to make a handle so that cut time, but overall the project was a bit shorter then most, probably about 9-10 hours of work all things considered
