Hard to believe this year this will be their 30th anniversary. They have definitely stuck to their sound, but always do such a great job that it doesn't sound stale. I wasn't crazy about this song the first time I heard it but it has definitely grown on me - and you guys are spot on that it will fucking HUGE live!

Gotta say your reaction videos are getting really great, the breakdowns in between the song are done so smoothly that the video doesn’t feel all broken up (which normal happens in the reaction videos). AA aren’t the most technical band in the world but your knowledge of music helps bring light to those small details in the music. Great vid and editing 🤘

I enjoy Amon Amarth, and definitely was interested in your perspective... and analysis. This is a great track, it has that driving beat that is trademark to AA. After this video, I'm pretty sure I just sprouted a mini viking beard. Also, that summary at 3:02, hell yes guys good stuff!

wow great reviews, I like that you include technical aspects, not just whether subjectively like it or not.. i don't see many reviews doing it like you all. and the comedy banter is on point! excellent work!

The alcohol would have tasted really good! I just gotta say that because they are real vikings they are of course drinking mead, or honey wine. You can make it yourself with minimal effort and it's pretty much guaranteed it will taste good. Add water, honey, and yeast. Wait a few days, and it's done! Of course I'd recommend searching for a recipe to get the proportions. The real vikings used wild yeast of course, and that can be risky taste-wise. But most batches probably tasted very well.

There material seems to have been getting lighter every album since Deceiver Of The Gods. At this rate they will actually sound like Saxon before the end of the decade 😅. I still enjoy what they do, don't get me wrong, and anyway they are the biggest Melodic Death Metal Band out there, and maybe the biggest extreme metal (if they still qualify as extreme)

I totally agree with you here. In my opinion though, I love that these bigger bands are getting more accessible. It’s more opportunity for people to get into the genre. Seems like AA understand the big picture here and that regard and are still staying true to what they love to do.

@@forgemastermetal they totally deserve it. They really worked their asses off. The first time I saw them in 2008 they were playing on a cramped stage while the doors where opening for the unholy alliance (before Mastodon, Trivium and Slayer) and I saw them again in 2019 and they were headlining the same venue with a massive production

If you would like to react to an artist you might not have heard of, I recommend the following Aesthetic Perfection with their song Gods & Gold

Jomsviking and Berzerker kind of sucked imo, so I'm hoping they can step things back up again.
