I use ski glasses to cut onions. I don't like swimming glasses because they're small and press on the eyeballs sides. Apple and cheese are nice pairing of flavor. Can add nuts too.

That apple cutting method is almost exactly what I used when cutting up apples for my girls. Only difference is I would cut two opposing sides to get two equal large sections, then cut the other two sides for equal short sections. Made dividing the apple easy and fair.

Hey frankie I have a few tips to cutting onions so you won't cry ... first off leave the butt on while cutting you can run cold water and cut the onions close to the running water also a very sharp knife helps some people say putting a wet paper towel down while cutting the onions helps too

Frankie, try putting the onion in your freezer until it is getting firm but is not a sold ice ball, then try cutting it. Chilling it to near frozen should vastly reduce the amount of silver compounds that aerosolize and mix with the moisture in your eyes to form sulfuric acid and cause that uncomfortable burning and tearing up.
