Oh man that was awesome!! 🤯 That airfield, the ride, the shots, the Angles… I stuck it on just before bed but now I’m buzzing 😂 proper good. 👌 I bet seeing the farm and village from above was something else. 👌 insane adventure for those two as well, and a worthy cause, will check them out now. P.s sorry to hear about the van, I feel our antics may not have helped that 😅 Hope it’s not too much work.

Amazing video Ash, thank you so much for capturing this and sharing it. Dad was really looking forward to seeing you during the expo and you've shared this part of the story beautifully. Glad you both got to experience how cool it is getting up in a microlight too!

From Marie’s video, had no clue you both were airborne. Wow! Looked equally terrifying and exhilarating! Good on these men for this valiant initiative! My father-in-law died from prostate cancer 21 years ago. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He would have gotten a kick out of this video.

@@LostInEurope wow, that's really spooky. I live a kind of motorhome life in the UK and ork around microlights but have a Peabee single seat flexwing, which you might have seen😉😂. I've started following your adventures so you might see a few comments.

@@GolfFoxtrot22 To be honest, up until about 3 days ago I had no desire to go back to the UK at all. Learning to fly may have changed things a bit 🤣 Might see you around at some point!

@@LostInEurope the microlight community is quite small and wonderfully friendly. Take care and see you in the comments, or at an airfield somewhere 🤔😁👍.

Great Storytelling as always those planes are incredible. More fun than a drone x 100. Saw a helicopter camper in popular science years ago and thought I WANT. Those planes and a tent are better.

This airport might not be so abandoned, the Swedish Air Force operates differently for all other Air Forces in the world. The SAAB Gripen fighter is designed to operate from small runways like this, all the service tools and material is kept in containers pulled by trucks and can go anywhere that needed and they have hundreds of small runaways all around the country, some of them are even part of the highways, other places like this which they can use as needed. This makes them very difficult to target by an enemy. Don't be surprised if a SAAB Gripen comes flying over your haus on day to land on this place.
