Chris, its always a pleasure hearing you speak and the fact that I don’t have to pay $15,000 is a plus but if I had it I will just to be where I need to be for my family. I have 43 subscribers and and a photography company that’s doing good. I think it’s time I start doing more. That you all for being here. Love you guys.

This Pod had such a different vibe! I like these guys, they seem very intentional. I loved the role-play section towards the end, it felt very different from the ones done by the 'Futur insiders' - Mo etc. It's long since I shared a Futur vid'.... This is one's for the books...

where are the REAL Legendary TRULY Great creative souls in the world these days? "sponsors" .. "brand" cattle get branded I'm going to just be me and write my songs from my heart and if no one likes them then at least i was not contriving an "authenticity" you are right Chris, it's about being us.. but so many become what they think people want mind you i get about one view a week for my songs that have real heart to them.. that sucks but i would rather keep on being truly me

Great interview! I especially like that it summarizes a lot of different videos in a compact form. The only thing that confused me, and I would love help to wrap my head around it, is the mistake of talking about the price too early. In some other videos here, I have heard that it should be our uttermost priority to get to the pricing as soon as possible. Otherwise, we all waste a lot of time discussing a project that might not be financially viable. How do I marry these two ideas together?

Around the 1-hour and 8-minute mark, Chris mentioned getting mockups and samples in front of people to test if the new logo works. As a designer, how would you approach pricing that for the client? I’ve had situations where clients request 'sample designs,' expecting a reduced price, but I still end up doing all the work. As a result, I charge full price even though the client may not ultimately use the work.

guys NEVER let your girlfriend tell you what to wear.. it's A test.. if you start to give in to them then they end up despising you over the years.. it's counterintuitive but you are better off sticking to what YOU love even if it winds them up.. also that way you don't stop being you just to try to please someone (ie don't simp)

Value based pricing question: Does it mean that your price fluctuates based on the client. If 3 different rich folks hire you and they each pay different prices but they know each other and somehow find out about the price difference. Wouldn’t that make you feel like a con artist? How would you deal with that?
@intptointpАй бұрын
This discussion reveals that this is not a surface level “provider-client relationship”. This is business partnership. Through the questions he asks, Chris demonstrates that he is going to make them money and the agreement will be based on money made, not services rendered. And thus, naturally, the money made can be shared matching contribution. A designer without this ability to talk this way would be treated as a commodity that needs to be purchased to get this done. A commodity has a fixed price. A business partner makes them money, and thus, is paid like a partner.

Did you just change your targets audience change from consumer to business people( because of educational content about business). @23:20 how do you make money on any of that stuff has no product?
@thefutur2 ай бұрын
Are target audience has always been creatives. Some just happen to be business owners. Anything can be turned into a product; all depends on how you package and market it.
@MinhNguyen-nd3uz2 ай бұрын
@@thefuturit’s seem like switching to educational content, help build your brand and credit up which help to charge at higher end price. I try to implement that, but I have 2 sources of customer, 1 thru instagram where I build my brand and 1 local. And usually that local customers don’t want to pay what the online customer pay or they don’t even know or care for a better quality. How would you deal with that?

That part about HBO being about boxing was completely made up. I had to Google it just to be sure, but the term box office has never been about boxing, it's about selling tickets for a show. They got their start as a place where you could see the latest movies back in the day when VCRs weren't widely in use because they were still pretty expensive.

when you don't wear headphones, you might be breathing into the mic and not know it, or scratching or bumping the mics in the way that drives the audience crazy. podcasts are about sound quality. it's a sign that we care about the audio.
