Yeah, I literally use it one time in Inquisition. It's during Solas' personal quest where I have everyone attack a spire to save his friend. That way no one is attacking the demon. Other than that, I see no use for it.

lol for Inquisition you only need to swap party members in a fight to blow all there skills. I would still miss the freedom to do that but it isn’t that important in an action oriented rpg.

Some people may not like it, but the majority of people do and did and it still gets a lot of love even to this day. It’s comforting to know that one person who got to play the game, went and talk to some of the BioWare people, and even they didn’t like the trailer that was debuted an said that it was the choice of the higher ups that wanted to put that out. BioWare has really been put through the wringer since EA bought them out, force them to use an engine that they had no experience with only to produce flops because of how ea chose to run them. There’s been a lot of good people who have left the original team but at this point I really just want to play the game and not worry about what people have to say. Can’t wait to play!

Everyone should have known that once we got to this location dragon age would change forever. Its an extremely technology advanced country just using magic. From lore reading it sounds a lot like a sci fi location in a fantasy world which tends to happen in very magic accepting cultures in fantasy. Of course the grim dark tone of dao is going to be gone. Im sure we will get darker story beats but im honestly not going to hate. The combat looks good to me. The ui looks good, the world looks just liike i expexted, and the only thing that annoys me is the change of the qunari appearance. Im so invested in DA at this point and aside from some fluff, inquisition with the trespasser DLC is a great game and had a good story. Im going to play it even if we get like a 7/10 game. If it sucks i will be taking an L but its not the first time id buy a game and not feel it and switch right away

Scars only occur when you do not have access to healing and no one would be undergoing top surgery without a healer present. I don't really object about the option but it clearly isn't canonical.

I kind of like how each entry switches it up some, for better or worse makes a new entry exciting to see what’s in store. The Darksider’s series did this well with some early entries like a hack n slash zelda thing to darksiders 3 being more soul-like and Darksider’s Genesis more like an ARPG, asymmetrical top down kinda of thing. And while maybe those games haven’t lit the world on fire they had sequels for a reason … each game has been pretty dang good. Particularly 3. I really dug Genesis too

I am disappointed by the art style. The enemies look terrible. The area art is mostly fine. Characters need improvement. Combat isn’t what I wanted. They basically took andromeda combat and adapted it for dragon age. Though many people like andromeda combat I didn’t. Your companions are worthless and die a lot. I guess they learned from that and made them unkillable. The combat also isn’t great it regardless of what you said. Companions again are useless except for combos. They can’t kill anyone in their own. So why even have them. Again, this is a retread of andromeda combat which I don’t think fits . Others I’m sure disagree.

Its not that we want to hate something. We are tired of the DEI agenda being shoved into every game. Didnt help how drastic they changed the art style. It looks very cartoony. Yes they change the color schemes i guess you could say with each installment, but the character designs kinda look like fortnite. Also, they've already been going on about how every character is pansexual and stuff, which could be fine. If they aren't making a big deal out of it, but if that's a selling point for a game, then that's concerning. Also, the writers and devs for this game have shown a few times they don't really know much beyond the surface level about the franchise which shows they don't really seem to care to stick to the lore.

I think when people start playing they will shut up about all the nitpicking they have been doing. Sure you don’t have to agree with every thing about it but that doesn’t mean a game is bad. From having the turn base roots totally stripped out over time. To going full open world with mediocre side quest. Each release aims to purge whatever identity Dragon Age Origin has left. At least we still had gritty dark fantasy to hold on to, that is until Veilguard drops.

7:23 Neve leaps to melee range, then weirdly walks backwards. Her Ai and model animations during combat have been the weirdest I've seen so far. Girl, you ranged mage why you doing a gap closer? Smh
