cool warts and all video, got to love that, always good to learn from mistakes both our own and yours so thanks for this yet again, I made a Serbian chef knife last year for a birthday present for my step son, forged it from an old plow disc, wasn't thick enough so had to upset it to get the width for the spine, and on something that thin and tall that brought its own set of problems lol, also an easy knifer to cut out and grind but not as easy as you would expect to forge one for some odd reason, fun build though

Did you end up using this blade to do anything? I've never made one but they look kinda awkward to me. The design kind of came out of nowhere and got real popular and seemed like alot of people were making them. Cool video just curious what you thought about the practicality of the blade.

So, I've had a few people request on of these blades, that's why I went with this design. That and I though it'f be a challenge. I think its a very unique design with it being practical for a specific type of cooking. The first time I saw it, I watched a guy make tacos out in the wilderness. He used it for cutting, for picking up ingredients, and for preparing the tacos. He did this all on a hot stone. For this type of thing, I think it's an amazing design. For general food prep, I think it's horrible. hahaha

@Hathenbruck Steelworks lol yea that's kinda what I was thinking. Must have a specific purpose cause my thinking is simple if it was a great multi purpose knife every chef would have one. Hey if someone wanted to pay me money to make one I'm making one also.
