This falcata appears to be smaller than the two previous ones you have made on your channel. Was it’s smaller size why you did not make add fullers to this one? Or was it a matter of time and labor where adding fullers was unnecessary? Also, I must say that the way you made the handle on this falcata was more aesthetically pleasing (at least to me) because there were not any fullers that were extended all the way into guard of the handle. The use of cast brass pieces was also visually distinctive, and was a good contrast to the blade itself. Your work is as amazing as always, and I am always grateful to watch a master craftsman in their element through your videos. Thank you for making your art and posting it for all to see.

Having absolutely no experience in your craft myself whatsoever I still feel like offering my advise as an artist. And that advise is that it seems you could use a brass welding rod and an oxy torch to braze that fill plug in to be absolutely invisible on the pommel. Your carving game is improving with each project. I almost thought I was going to witness you using that graver device to make hair and whiskers! However your shapes and scale are so fantastic! I'm curious why you used the boards to clamp down on the sword as it cooled, I'm also curious what the box of sand or whatever it is he puts his blades to cool in is for.

I'm betting The wood step is to straighten the blade, wood is a good insulator letting the cooling happen over a longer period, and as it chars it sucks up oxygen. The sand is probably for normalization after forge welding the billet, by controlling how long it takes to cool you control the grain sizes.
